EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

It sounds like an uneventful day in the planning.
You should have a day off from food assignments. I'm the boss of me so I get to assign if I wish to.
How is your sciatica now? I hope it's improving.
We’re grateful to have you, Bob, and consider you one of FR’s Finest. Even though you have KP duty.
Happy Thanksgiving Wordlers!
I should have guessed today’s word in two or maybe even one, if my logic had been engaged. Alas, I ended up with another Foursie!

Yes, my sciatica is much better. We’re also working on balance and stability. I’ll continue treatment until the end of the year, because it’s $7/hr until our deductible resets. After that, I’ll have maintenance exercises and, “Call us if anything really hurts.”
Oh, that’s excellent news! I’m so glad.
Because of my discs, I’m prone to sciatica, but it seldom lasts long. I’m just grateful my bones are strong. I take Vitamin D3 once a week, and may up it to twice a week, now.
It helps to prevent osteoporosis.
Now, I’m going to get dressed and organize the kitchen so I can make the cookies!! YAY, me!
Good luck on the cookies! I filled another bag with clothes to donate.
The rain is pouring down. Supposed to be like this all day. :o|
Perfect day for baking something good!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone
A cool way to play!
There have been some doosies though!
Happy Thanksgiving Folks!
Hope that you enjoy it!!

Happy Thanksgiving N-t-I! I hope your day is filled with good memories and that all your family is around you for the festivities! Be good to yourself today!
Good for you!! I’m going to start after the first of the year and begin to whittle down my belongings once again. I’m sure there are more “things” I can get rid of.
No X/6 for the Z-ster!
I felt like an idiot when I got the word. I mean...
Are you having a big family get-together today?
Thank you !!!! May today be wonderful for you also !!!!

Would that be a “yes” to the Wordle ping?
Thanks. It has started off great!
I had forgotten what an absolute JOB those cookies are! I felt like a first-time baker! GAH! Every measuring cup and spoon I have are now in the sink waiting for the last batch to come out of the oven, which is still one batch away!
I forgot how cool this place is and I put the cookies on the rack to cool before I frosted them, not thinking they would be too cool to melt the frosting. And then the frosting was too thick.
GAH! I still have to sort my pills, so that’s more standing. I really need a kitchen stool. Nothing fancy. Even a wooden stool would work if it were the right height.
I suspect it will be a while before I make these again, because the last time, I had much more counter space. If my memory serves me, the 5th dozen has just gone into the oven and there is still dough left.
I’m starting to wonder if the Urge to Purge is a premonition that we’ll move. I don’t see how that would work, but one doesn’t, until it happens.
Second batch of sweet potatoes is boiling, and Tom is cooking bacon with brown sugar.
