EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

It is impossible for a person to do that by accident, in my opinion.
Good morning. Happy Monday.
We went out at 20 fs this morning with an inch or so of snow on the ground from yesterday. The Princess seemed to be in a hurry to get back inside. That would have been nicer if she hadn’t pulled so much. I’m heavy enough to pull back but Mrs. ArGee is concerned she’ll be pulled down this winter.
Good Wordle start to the week.

Yes, if we were talking about normal people, but this one is a law unto herself. And I don’t count. Therefore, I’m fair game.
It’s 23°, now, so I’ll never be warm. Until I get summer back for most of the year.
Good job on the Wordle!!
By the time I got down to row 6 yesterday, with all of the eliminated letters, I was pretty sure that it was the word...
Good Monday Morning!
Hoping that everyone had a nice weekend... we seem to have gotten past the freezing morning temps for the next week or so... now if we could get rid of all of this cloud cover and get some sunny and dry days for awhile it would be nice...
Good work on the 3-spot, ArGee

What a sweet little floof!
Good morning. I hope you slept well.
I went in to take a nap but my FD sent her early morning greeting. She either had a cardiac episode or low blood sugar episode Saturday night and collapsed while making a sandwich for Rob’t. So she’s going to have both items checked out. I suspect diabetes, because her dad had it, as well as at least one more of his offspring.
Mona called me last night as I was settling in, which is OK, but she had to talk to me “about a woman thing, Miss ‘Face.” So I answered her question and she will be over today. She doesn’t stay long these days.
Nothing is on the docket except to hang clothes.
Oh, yes, there is one more thing. One Ward family was donating a lot of their late patriarch’s belongings and one was a framed map of old Nauvoo, IL. Since several of my own ancestors were killed by mobs there, I had wanted it but someone else had already taken it. BUT! She decided to give it to me, so FS will be bringing it this morning. I want to see if the blocks have family names on them. What fun!
Good morning Wordlers!
This was another one of those, “Let me try THIS word and see if it fits.” Nothing but a lucky guess.

I did a guess on my 2nd word, too. But it took the 3rd word guess for the “win.”
I’m very sorry about your daughter’s health issue. I get low blood pressure episodes; my GP said to use more salt!
I hope the map is interesting. It’s neat that you’ll get to see it.
I was stretched, pummeled, and tweaked by the physical therapist. I’m not sure if anything hurts now, because I’m just cold.
I do that, too, and most times, it doesn’t pay off. Sometimes not for two more rows.
But today’s was just one of those words that popped into my mind and I ran with it.
FD has had a craving for salt since she was a teen, and as a young adult, she had low blood pressure for a long time. So I have no clue about this. She did suffer from gestational diabetes, and her dad and a half-brother had diabetes, so if she is diabetic, it’s no surprise to me.
She also has a history of drug abuse, and I’m sure it weakened her heart. Then she took a medication about 15 years ago that did more damage to it, and of course, she has had to have Covid shots because of her job. So it doesn’t look good.
As far as the map goes, it will hang on one of the walls here, maybe pride of place. Heritage, and all that!
I’m done with the laundry. The clothes are hanging to dry, and the sun is shining brightly. Nothing from my son yet, so we’ll see. He may just wait until Thursday to give it to me.
Apropos of nothing I ordered some warmer gloves from Amazon yesterday and the total, with tax, came to $43.21. I was hoping to get something for the small straight, but ... nothing.
Actually, this whole thread is apropos of nothing so I didn’t really need to say that part.
Apropos of nothing, did I mention it was 9° yesterday morning?
No?
OK, well, it’s warmer today.
10°
You two must have your own Secret Code Language. I have no clue what either of you are talking about. Maybe I should go bury my head in the sand. ;o]
Code? It makes perfect sense to us...
See?
You need to C# or you’ll B♭...
