EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.

Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. We finally got snow yesterday. At one point the wind was really blowing. But nothing stuck.
It’s 28 fs outside right now. I guess it’s winter.
Nothing big on the docket today. Just owrk and eat. If we make it through today it will be 3 weeks without a seizure.

My first two words were elimination words and they made the Triplet a shoo-in. Once I had eliminated some letters, the rest was almost easy.

More farm work today. It was sunny and pretty pleasant if you kept moving. We’ll probably do more next week. I said I’d call on Monday once we see the weather.
Wow. I hate car repairs. But they are necessary evils.
It’s going to be cold here for most of next week, so I’m not planning anything. If you enjoyed the farm work, I hope the weather cooperates next week for you!
It will be Thanksgiving with the Other Folks instead of Golden Corral, but I have a wicked plan up my sleeve.
Mona was over for a while today, and I asked her to come and help me set out the Nativities next week. I also promised we’d make pineapple cookies, so I’ll need to put in a Walmart order for delivery by Wednesday AM at the latest. I need butter, eggs, walnuts and brown and powdered sugars. I already have the pineapple. Oh. And baking powder!
Anyway, the wicked plan is to sabotage the meal with unexpected cookies! What a great plan that is!! The thing is, they can’t be stacked because they’re frosted. But they are Oh, So Yummy!! It’s been a long time since I made them.
I’ll be going with the Other Folks tomorrow afternoon to clean the chapel, but it was that or go with them to Walmart, and I’d rather do a service project.
