EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners

DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.

Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. Good morning. Did you sleep well?

FS came over yesterday and we watched about half the movie before the DVD just quit. Like the rest of it had been erased. FS was nodding off, as he usually does, but that’s OK. He could handle the physical or the emotional with the mental but not all three together without showing signs of fatigue. I worry, but he’ll have to learn to pace himself.

He’s going to try it on his DVD player (he made fun of mine, not realizing I bought what I could afford at the time) and if it stops in the same place (scene 18) then he will send the movie back.

Now, though, I’m going to go in and take a shower and try to warm up. It’s 26° out again and 74° in here. I hate the cold. Oh. Wait. I said that already, didn’t I? Sorry.

Off I go!
