EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

I feel really sad about her not being in the front seat. What’s the world coming to?
They expect you to pay for Thanksgiving dinner? When we invite people, we just give them the food.
Yes, very sad about her not having the front seat! I mean, they COULD have bumped someone for her, y’know.
Well, yes, they expect me to pay, if we go to Golden Corral. I keep offering to bring something when a big meal is planned but she refuses on the ground that, Idunno, I’m too old to know how to cook/no one will like it anyway.
So. I’d rather go to GC and watch them stuff their faces while I just take one plateful and maybe a small dessert plate. I just have such a hard time, watching them both overeat.
But I guess they have their own demons to deal with.
I’ll be staying home today. I’m too tired to go. But I’ll try again next week.
I used to always watch football. When I moved out of Vegas Valley, I got to the point where I just didn’t watch network TV but got DVDs from the library. I wasn’t going to pay megabucks for four English-stations out of 35 “free.”
So it was a treat to watch it. Of course, I forgot where I was, and at one point yelled, “GIT ‘IM!!” Yeah. Me and football. ;o]
And even better, when the mail finally came (1730) the movie he picked for our Matinee Get-Together was in it. And what made him even happier was that I haven’t seen it.
I guess I need to get used to it, then! LOL!
Eight *double sigh*
Nine.
Ten.
You still counting emails from Herschel?
Yep, he’s a little overdue on the 11 o’clock hour email.
We don’t expect people to pay when we invite them to go out, either.
Back from the air show, which was fun. I’ll send you a few snaps. There were some men with a very interesting WW2 British paratrooper camp setup, and some others with an SS officer’s tent, office kit, and mess gear.
Yeah, I get it. There was a day when FS was generous to a fault, but in the last almost 11 years, he’s become selfish and reclusive. It hurts my heart to see it because he was always such a sweet kid, even when he was little. And as an adult. He had a heart as big as all outdoors. Not any more. But he has to deal with it. I’m glad I don’t have to see too much of it.
The air show sounds like it was fun. It’s only 42° out right now, and it won’t be any warmer when I get up to do the laundry. It will also be raining.
I’m starting to ache a bit, so I’m going to take the garbage out, and then head for bed because I want to be warm.
13 in my spam folder! I’m not even seeing half of them!
If I get emails I don’t want, even if I signed up for them and changed my mind, I start to hit the “Unsubscribe” button. And I do that every time I get one until I don’t get them any more.
I wouldn’t mind one a day but every hour???
Sounds great!!
👍🏻
I hope you have a good night. I need to go to Walmart, but it might wait until Tuesday. Tomorrow will be busy, starting off with physical therapy, and I’ve thawed a leftover-something for supper, and Tom can make rice.
Monday. 25°. Laundry.
Later.
Good Monday morning, Gamers!
Good luck on your Wordle efforts!
The laundry is done except for the hanging up and I’m about ready to go take a nap. Or what passes for a nap on these days!

Good morning. I hope the nap is a success. It’s cold here, too. I need to check the van and see if I need to de-ice before I go to the physical therapist.

Insanely adorable kittens for your Monday!
