EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.

Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. How is your sciatica? Did it bother you on this campout?
It did not bother me on the campout until Sunday morning, when I was sitting on the floor of the tent waiting for a break in the rain so I could start packing out the gear.
There’s some discomfort now, even after the PT yesterday. He gave me more exercises. The lesson, I suppose, it that I need to be stronger if I’m going to do a lot of camping activities!

I voted Friday morning. It was a decent crowd, but I got a booth right away. And I got one of those “I Voted” stickers.

Frank and Kathleen and I just walked to the poll at the elementary school, where I voted and they chatted up the campaign volunteers.
I’m guessing he wouldn’t be adding more if he didn’t think you’re improving with the ones he’s already given you. “It all counts on twenty,” I guess.
PW just landed in Denver with a four-hour layover, so it will be 2100 before she sees her family tonight. I don’t know if her dad knows or not because I’m not in The Loop.
