EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

Wow. Yay Walmart! Thanks, Vlad!
I have to get a new air filter this week, because I’m smelling cigarettes when the A/C cycles. Unngh.
I wish they were cheaper, but at least, for now, they haven’t gone up.
Pam is going to take me to Dollar Tree Wednesday, and also to breakfast. Sweet lady. And she’s a good listener, too, but that’s kind of an iffy thing, since she knows the Other Folks well.
Yes, it’s risky to talk to people who know other people. That’s why it’s good to have a long-distance friend who isn’t in communication with anyone nearby.
Exactly so. But she also seems to have her thumb on the pulse of the ward because she knows a lot more than she lets on.
That’s good. I don’t know anything about your Ward, but I know where some of the figurative bodies are buried at St. Luke’s.
Yes, she would be your counterpart, for sure!! They’ve been here over 25 years which is about 10 years longer than the Other Folks.
She’s cool. You’d like her. And she would like you, as well. And all because I have impeccable taste in friends! (I can’t pick my family members, though, so...)
Speaking of figurative bodies, I need to email Jim, my all-purpose fixer, about a couple of issues I hope he can fix.
I’ve decided to make it clear, in case anyone is speculating, (and some already know) that I’m moving back to Utah when two things happen — 1. an apartment in my old complex comes vacant, and 2. when I get the money together to make the move.
That will probably be anywhere from 8-18 months from now. There are several reasons for the move, and not necessarily the most obvious, for those who read between the lines.
A drier climate is at the top of the list, while several other things will fall into line from there and may change in priority frequently.
So at the moment, if you could pray for me, or burn incense, or whatever else you do to wish a person “Luck!” I’ll appreciate every bit of it!
‘Face
Luck!
This is Jim, your fixer from St Luke?
Whatever it is, I hope he can fix it! If he’s any good, maybe he could fix a small problem I have... ;o]
Thanks!!
Good morning. Happy Twosday.
It’s a bit gloomy here but it’s warm. I’m not sure that’s better than sunny and cold but at least it’s different.
Face, I pray this move is the one that makes things good for you.
Back to the 5s today.

What a precious pair of floofs! Thanks! I needed those!
Good morning. I hope you slept well.
I was going to but...
I’ve had to go back to the CFIDS log. The symptoms are not severe, but there are enough to warrant recording. *sigh*
Welp, it’s another day, so up and at ‘em! ;o]
Thanks, ArGee. Perhaps, as “they” say, this one will be a Keeper!
Good morning, Peeps!
Wowser. For a minute there, I thought that was going to be like Bob’s gamer poem. *sheesh*

Not too bad, thanks. Jake. Also Tom noise: his big Thor laugh coming from downstairs.
Good Morning!
ArGee, I hope and pray that they can find a solution for Princess, very soon!
‘Face, I must be dim, I had no idea that you were planning to move back to Utah. I pray that you find a path back that is timely and rewarding.
We had a line of storms blow through overnight... dropped the power for several hours, but the winds appeared to have been less than expected... looks like we got about 0.70” of rain in the deal... can’t complain about that! And the aftermath has left it sunny, breezy and cool!
Four train ride to start the day...

Good morning and happy Tuesday!
As always, ‘Face, you are in my prayers. Both for the move and for feeling better.
And T-C, I hope and pray you keep doing better and better.
I’m still ridin’ that four-train today.
