EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

Good morning. Happy Twosday!
I see national news about freezing weather coming, but it doesn’t seem to be coming here. We have seasonal temps foregnosticated for the week. I’m glad yesterday’s rain is over, though.
I found a hat and pulled this out of it.

It’s cooler here today. I put on a sweatshirt to take the van to the mechanic. It has a distressing CLANK in the suspension. It’s had it for a while, and it survived the drive to the mountains a few weeks ago, but I figured I would get it checked out before something *clank* falls right off.
Kitteh has a warm blannie, and he needs it. It’s 34° out. Tonight it will be 27°. Unngh.
FS says he wants to come over for Movie Matinee with Mom again, so maybe it will happen in the next month. He has to get to the point that he misses his mom, and sometimes, that doesn’t happen overnight.
I’ve been here a year now, and I really don’t like it as much as I thought I would. From the weather to everything else. The apartment still smells so the air filters are still running.
Good morning epople!
It’s very cold outside, and it’s becoming cold inside. It would seem I’ll have to start wearing my longjohns, soon! The Galileo says it’s 74° in here.
Looks like I found that same bag, ArGee!

Good Morning!
Chilly start here at 46 degrees Fahrenheit. One more chilly overnight then we start moving back up to normal temps for this time of the year...
Four train ride for my Tuesday morning commute...

Congrats to those able to pull a 3 spot out of bags or hats!
(My brain said hat but my fingers typed bag. Go figure.)
I figured you had a bag full of hats somewhere.
Good morning!
It was a bit nippy outside earlier. My A/C hasn’t kicked on in more than a day and I’ll open a window or two later.
Pulled off a three.

It’s pleasantly cold outside. I’ll wear a jacket next time.
Same difference, as they say...
Unlike the other two, you pulled yours off, instead of out of. The question remains, did you pull it off of a hat or a bag?
Oh, golly. My day got away from me. I went in to try and decide what to wear to church on Sunday (I don’t do well when I have to find something THAT DAY) and ended up putting away summer clothes and then taking out winter clothes.
Then I decided I needed to make sure my emergency equipment was handy and the battery in the emergency radio was charged, just in case, (tornado season is on the way) and then I decided to update the Codicil to my Will.
And well, here I am, two hours later. I didn’t really feel up to any of it, but it was more of a “Well, I’m in here, so I may as well do this now” kinda thing.
*whimper* My brain!
It sounds like you accomplished a lot! I sent a bunch of emails and texted some people, and now I’m thinking about lying down with Jake and a nice book about a harmless old lady who kills people from time to time.
It’s called “An Elderly Lady is Up To No Good,” by Helene Tursten.
Excellent job, though, ZZ. (Buzz?) (Bzz?)
You did pretty good for not having much to work with on the first two lines.
I have no idea what’s “normal” for this time of year, here. I just know I don’t like it all that well, and I realized I broke a promise to myself that I made when I left Texas in 2004. I promised I’d never live east of the Rockies again. The climate is just too unsettled for me.
Speaking of mail, there is a card for me in today’s mail, so I’ll get it when I’m watching something about murder in a quaint little village in England. Or maybe Scotland. Something to lower my BP... ;o]
Murders are so soothing, especially British ones.
Yes, indeed! There’s a TV guide for the streaming murders on a website called justwatch.com, so I’m going to check it to see what’s happening today. There’s got to be something soothing on there that I haven’t seen before!
I pulled it off the top of the refrigerator.
My A/C was on until sometime in the night last night, but then, I have a south-facing apartment. It’s also a small apartment so it doesn’t take long to heat this place up.
It’s 76° in here, but the sun is glaringly bright outside, but the storm glass has lots of crystals in it so worse is coming. Unngh.
Good job on your Triple!! Looks like you just fell into it. ;o]
