EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

...Them being the “Times” is what prevents me from doing that...Exactly! But I'll be on thr road probably four days and without WiFi for up to a week, so I may have to give in and do it. But not just yet.

We had a good dunking Saturday night into Sunday around noon, but it’s clear now for the next four days. Still awfully humid, though.

The laundry is done, and I’m beat up I know Mrs. ArGee doesn't love doing the laundry, but I think ours isn't so combative.

I agree. There’s no reason for the Times to know I exist. If it decides to force the issue then I’ll find another source of Wordles or give up the game.

I believe Nully and Harmless both use the Not The Times Wordle for their gaming pursuits, and I did at first, but then, I wanted to be challenged as you were with the same game, when you said your family did it.
If push comes to shove, the Times would have to be the only game in town for me to sign up for it. Some things are just not worth the sacrifice.
I keep remembering that it was that newspaper that alerted the Nazis to where Anne Frank and her family were hiding, so, yeah. I could start back at zero. The thing is, though, that I keep track of my games, so I could still play without their penalizing me for not signing up.

Happy Monday!
Good job on your Foursie today.
It’s about time for me to hike down the road to Kroger. What fun. But the sun is shining and it’s 48° so it shouldn’t be too bad. the hike up the hill to home is the one that gets me.
It seems I’ve always lived uphill from everything!

“That word has some of those letters. Let me try that.” That is almost always my approach!
Today I struggles trying to make sense of a lot of letter elimination and no confirmations... even then, I didn't think that my guess was a valid choice... go figure!

Exactly. And mine is exacerbated by living the last 35 years in the desrt.

The Icelandic version is actually the original Wordle two weeks later. Allegra and I had that figured out early on.

Did I really write “desrt?” and not catch it? *sheesh*
FINALLY back from Kroger! Crikey. I had to wait almost forty minutes.
It was downright chilly when I left. The thermometer said 47° but I didn’t count on the wind chill. Gloriosky that was a cold walk! Not much better on the way uphill but at least the wind was at my back.

Mostly because 1000 is a nice round number, and because with three carefully selected first words I almost always win.
It's getting boring.
