Donald Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner had surgery a second time late last week to treat an apparent recurrence of thyroid cancer, a person close to Kushner said on Tuesday.

The news comes weeks after Kushner was spotted with wife Ivanka Trump in Rochester, Minnesota as they visited the Mayo Clinic for a check up on the status of his thyroid cancer.

A source told DailyMail.com: 'He's doing great and has been resting for the last few days but will be back at it soon.

Kushner is expected to make a full recovery.

At the time of the last visit, a source told DailyMail.com, 'Jared has to travel there periodically for monitoring and testing to ensure his thyroid cancer hasn't returned. Ivanka obviously travelled with him to offer support as his wife.'

The thyroid produces Triiodothyronine. Which is a hormone that regulates ATP production (food for your cells.) Lowering these hormones raises your glucose levels, raises your heart rate. Your life is greatly diminished. We will notice it in by his body weight will likely rise.

I read his book and was very impressed - he worked for years on the Abraham Accords and made an agreement for peace in the ME that nobody ever thought could happen. He also worked on USMCA and the First Step Act. The behind the scenes work is unbelievable. He explains the issues with Tillerson, Bannon and Kelly...etc. He also told about his family...it was quite interesting. Grandparents escaped from the Nazis. I recommend the book to anyone who wants a look at inside the WH.

yes. They lower your over all immunity. No illness ever goes away in your body they're suppressed. When your immunity is weak the body doesn't keep them suppressed which is why we see a large number of childhood illnesses or older illnesses come back.

It was the NIH stated reason why they wouldn't give Informed consent disclosure because it would scare people away from getting the injection.

prayers for him. I had mouth cancer, fortunately, until now, all I had was surgery. Head and neck cancer and treatments can take away eating, speaking, etc.
My surgery was bad enough, and I only had stage 1, that I think I’d rather die than lose my ability to do almost anything.

Prayers and best wishes to him. Four years ago a co-worker was diagnosed with medullary thyroid cancer. He was a big, strapping guy, too.
A few surgeries, chemo, and radiation, nothing helped.
It got him in the end.
Nasty, nasty stuff.

I am 16 years out on Thyroid Cancer now. For many people they perform a partial thyroidectomy and remove 1 lobe in hopes it rectifies the cancer, and body can retain some functionality. Thyroid hormones are involved in every body function. I too had to have two surgeries, completing the full thyroidectomy. Some cancer types allow for this, some are more dangerous, thus an immediate total thyroidectomy. Mine was about 2 weeks apart, others can go for a few years. Thyroid Cancer sucks, and although we dont go through chemotherapy the same as other cancers, we do have Radioactive Iodine, which can cause blood based cancers down the line. The biggest issue is having to take synthetic hormones, and for many of us develop Type 2 Diabetes because the hormones do not work the same, and often we are held to specific levels to suppress cancer.

Everyone says that Thyroid Cancer is the one to have since it is so curable. Mostly women get it. Men are a small percentage, but can have huge issues. I wasnt scared of the Thyroid Cancer, but from what comes next. For many people, once they have had one cancer, they are significantly more prone to another cancer happening.

I’ve had thyroid biopsies and luckily turned out benign.
