Trump demands Republicans get rid of Mitch McConnell 'immediately' as their Senate leader, calls him a 'pawn for the Democrats' and mocks his 'lovely' wife Elaine Chao after he criticized his MAGA candidates

Donald Trump demanded that Republicans replace Mitch McConnell as their Senate leader in a brutal statement where he attacked the Kentucky senator and his wife, former Transportation secretary Elaine Chao.

The former president accused McConnell of being a 'pawn' for Democrats and said his inaction is causing moves in Congress 'our Country can never recover from'.

He also claimed that McConnell and Chao, who is Chinese, got 'rich' off of decades of business with China and said a new Republican Senate leader should be chosen.

Most predictions point to Republicans taking back a majority in Congress in the 2022 midterms, but Trump says McConnell shouldn't be the one to continue leading the party in the upper chamber.

'Mitch McConnell is not an Opposition Leader, he is a pawn for the Democrats to get whatever they want,' the former president wrote in a Wednesday statement. 'He is afraid of them, and will not do what has to be done.'

'A new Republican Leader in the Senate should be picked immediately!'

Last week, McConnell warned Republicans could risk not winning back a Senate majority due to 'candidate quality' among its nominees – a direct blow to Trump as endorsements have become his biggest source of power post-presidency.

Can he form a new party after he elected?
And could the folks he helped get elected join him?

Repealing the 17th A is both brilliant and common sense. It should be done by Art V convention. So the Progressives in 1913 got the 17th passed. Are you a progressive?

Might be..but it has to start with the RNC. Moreover it has to start at the local level with control of the local and county and school boards. Then the state, then the federal.

So, start another party. No one is stopping you.

But, understand that your party will probably never win a general election unless the Democrats split.

And there are not enough Trump folks to take over the GOP entirely.

So, the choice comes down to a few things:

1. Learn to deal with the rank and file (because aside from voting and bitching, most conservatives are pretty inactive.)

2. Learn to live with the progressives winning every election.

No party has made significant change without compromise. That hasn’t changed.

Personality cults don’t have long shelf lives. And without a broad base of support at all levels they are not effective.

Agreed. The 17th Amendment removed a fundamental check on the power of the Fed.

The biggest hurdle is always...being sabotaged by the establishment..dim or pub.

Just look at the length they have gone to destroy Trump and those that support him.

Consider also Palin and the TEA Party.

Bitch McConnell has always been a one world self serving anti-American Post Turtle as are so many of his “Good Friends” in the public arena.

Couldn’t disagree more on repealing 17th. State legislators are just as corrupt as feds. You want them appointing our senators? At least now, we have a little bit of say in it. Take IL for example. For decades run by the most corrupt partisan democrat boss michael madigan, or WI with the ‘republican’ that won’t follow up on vote fraud. No thanks.

What needs to be talked about and dealt with is repeal of the insane SCOTUS ruling in the 60s that said state senators had to be elected the same way state Representatives are elected instead of allowing each county in a state have senators. This is why all of the blue states are completely dominated by big cities.

I guess that the current make up of the Assistant DemocRATs is acceptable, then? In case you didn't notice, we have that Democrat supermajority for the foreseeable future present. That was our reality when the 2020 Election Theft was allowed to stand.

What do you think is the fundamental difference is between Soros buying elections and buying off state reps? Sounds like you have identified a problem but only offer name calling as a solution.

I think he considered doing that once. I’m glad he didn’t take that route then at least.

It’s a much better solution. It is MUCH easier to get rid of your state legislature. Moreover, the Senator is now beholding to the state legislature who appointed him which makes him a representative of, wait for it, the STATE. Then you have an actual separation of powers.

The purpose of the House was to represent the interest of the States and the purpose of the senate was to represent the interest of the people. The system was designed to be a series of check and balances on powers and interests. The 17th amendment removed one of the checks and balances. Very few people would argue that our government has improved (with a few exceptions) over the last 110 years, and the 17th amendment while probably not a root cause, is definitely part of the problem.

How would Trump go about this? He’s a demon to dem voters at this point.

Maybe he could endorse dem candidates he wants to lose.

In university days I was approached several times by wealthy tycoon chinamen trying to get me to marry Chinese women. I thought it was just green card seeking, but now that I reflect on it, with as much as $100,000 thrown in to boot in one case, you never know. I was multilingual and getting educated in the elite brainwashing system. Everyone expected me to be a magnificent globalist servant. Fortunately I much prefer black and white women... as well as staunch right wing and patriotic politics.

The Republican party was created in 1854. The first Republican president (Abraham Lincoln) was sworn into office in 1861.

It only took 7 years for the new party to become the dominate party.

It can happen again.
