Great going kid! You found the tooth of the shark that swallowed Brandon as he vacationed in South Carolina. You’ve solved the puzzle of where the president is!

Odd that an article like that wouldn’t give an approximate age of such a find. Maybe I missed it.

Not to downplay the excitement, but perhaps the tooth was planted there. One can get them for under $20 on ebay even bigger than 5 inches.

These aren’t that rare. That is supposed to be at least 3.6 million years old or so, and they’re just lying around on rocky beaches?

Excuse my skepticism of the age range.

Quite a few Megalodon teeth have been found in Carolina swamps. A friend of mine had half a dozen or so that he picked up scuba diving in that area.

I’m in Myrtle Beach now and was shark tooth hunting this morning. I got some nice ones including a One inch Great White tooth. Nothing millions of years old...yet.

Last year I found what I thought might be a fossilized egg. This year I finally caught up with an expert. He got pretty excited and felt it was probably an ancient crocodile egg. He was going to double check with a paleontologist but never got back to me.

It’s a fossilized egg or a really really good concretion.
Either way I mounted it on a cupped piece of brown black obsidian. looks impressive. I did put a picture of an ancient crocodile behind it, Kind of like those “serving suggestions” on a cereal box:)
