Some of fast food’s splashiest plant-based chicken rollouts have seriously impressed us in the past. First, there was the debut of Impossible Chicken Nuggets in 2021, a product that managed to capture the brothy flavor of real cooked poultry and deliver both crunch and chew without tasting springy or spongy. (Burger King tested these nuggets at various locations last fall.) Then, KFC released Beyond Fried Chicken in January 2022; these were essentially nuggets as well, and tasted “pretty spectacular,” according to our taste test.
Both of these, however, were small-format chick’n products. The Impossible Original Chick’n Sandwich at Burger King will feature a much larger patty, meaning more surface area to load with our favorite toppings and condiments. (Impossible Chicken Patties are also being rolled out to major grocery chains nationwide.)

I stopped eating fast food about 10 years ago.
They will soon substitute real meat for fake meat and not bother to tell people.
They really should just concentrate on getting the basics down and served to the customer in a timely manner with no attitude. Burger King is off my list of dining choices because of their shennanigans. this does nothing to make me want to go there.
I won’t eat McD’s hamburgers and I’m trying to be keto so there are not a lot of fast food choices and BK will be the last of them.
Same here....except for Chic Fil A.
I hope they don’t even think about fake chicken, but, nothing surprises me, with these corporations, anymore.

I didn’t see anything in the story that told readers what exactly is contained in fake chicken.
Not very reassuring.
That’s what I’m thinking.
The stuff called ‘food’ sold by Burger King’ has long been unfit for human consumption. They screwed up their own product and thus destroyed their name and reputation.
They simply can not cook a burger at ‘Burger King.’ I simply cannot imagine that they can cook chicken or anything else.
I gave up Burger King years ago due to their lack of consistency and poor scores on the restaurant ratings from the inspections in my area. Plus their staff wouldn’t know the first thing about manners around here. (Duluth and Woodstock, GA).
Fake chicken? May as well be McNuggets with poor, rude and dirty service.
Why would I ever go back? I absolutely love a good Whopper, but they’re hit or miss here, being kind.
Will their impossible chicken be synonymous with Colon Blow?
