Men are lonelier than ever as they struggle to meet the higher dating standards of modern women, according to a psychologist.
American psychologist Greg Matos wrote in a recent Psychology Today article that the current state of young and middle-aged men's love lives shows they need to 'address a skills deficit'.
He said: 'I hear recurring dating themes from women between the ages of 25 and 45: They prefer men who are emotionally available, good communicators, and share similar values'.

A lot of very very tainted thirtysomething women, after a decade of being drunken hoes, want to be courted as though they were untainted.
Meanwhile, thirtysomething guys spent the decade becoming prosperous, and therefor can draw the interest of twentysomething women who haven’t ruined themselves.

I notice the absence of articles about men expressing their disappointment about single women.

Overheard at a restaurant just last weekend, a group of women, some married and some single, but late 30’s, early 40’s, and heard:
- All I wish is for him to pick up after himself (married)
- No, I need domestic help, cooking, laundry and maybe an occasional shoulder rub and a “how was your day?” (married)
Is that too much?

- I could go for a man doing all the cooking and all the cleaning, but he needs to be educated and have a good job too -— Oh, and a he has to have a skilled tongue and not be afraid to get down there and use it. (single)
I had to turn around and look at who was talking at this point, which they all saw and then broke out in laughter.

If i ever got in the unlikely position of being able to find a new mate, im like u in that i would not want to let my guard down. By the same token im not so sure i would want to inflict myself on someone else cause im not ez to deal with myself. I took a personality test and it seemed dead on...

The article says more men than women are single. I looked up the percentage of men & women in the country, and it’s 50% men and 50% women.
So how can more men than women be single?
