Men are lonelier than ever as they struggle to meet the higher dating standards of modern women, according to a psychologist.
American psychologist Greg Matos wrote in a recent Psychology Today article that the current state of young and middle-aged men's love lives shows they need to 'address a skills deficit'.
He said: 'I hear recurring dating themes from women between the ages of 25 and 45: They prefer men who are emotionally available, good communicators, and share similar values'.

Bull crap. These lonely men need a heavy dose of toxic masculinity and general competence.
The modern women wants to be served, without having to serve.
I know I would be better off alone than being with a modern women, who wants a subservient husband.
My goodness, was I ever ahead of my time. Eventually married well though, obviously in spite of myself.

I think Aristotle understood this best. It matters less how much two people say they are in love with each other. What matters is whether those two people together fall in love with something greater than themselves.
I see very few “real men” out there in the urban wild. (I’m suspecting it’s something in the water). If you want one of the real men species, you have to go to the rural areas of the state. Then, you have to adapt to their environment, learn to shoot, fish, and change the tire on your car. Not many women are willing to go to the trouble of catching one of the real ones. LOL!

I look at this from the other end. Mature, hard-working males have less of a suitable choice for a wife these days.

ROFL!!! I'm pushing 60 this year. Great career, high income, financially stable & single. Retiring the end of this month (at this point, my employer is trying to persuade me otherwise.)
The number of single women vs. single men at my age is almost 2:1 where I live. I have my pick.
And my GF knows it. Keeps her in line. Just sayin'.
