Now if Jeep could just create a windshield that doesn’t catch a rock and crack the moment you drive off the lot, then maybe the wipers would be worth having.
“Jeep also addressed the topic of forward vision last year when it introduced a new line of Mopar windshields for the Wrangler and Gladiator made from the sort of chip-resistant Gorilla Glass used on smartphones”
Oh now that I’ve replaced my windshield twice. SMH
Also is ford gonna steal the new wiper design for the bronco? They copied everything else on the Wrangler. 😂
Most Jeeps I see are mall cruisers that don’t see a spec of dirt.
What this probably means to the consumer is that they will have to fill the windshield washer fluid container a lot more often.
Any word on keeping the engine running?
I don’t know, is it safe for the environment? Does it contribute to climate change? Is it made by racially and gender diverse people?
$140.00 for a set of wipers?
Well, if they do what they claim to do, its not that much more than a “top-of-the-line” set of wipers are.
This would be nice for the driver’s vision blocks on M-1 tanks. They were always getting coated with mud.
This is not new.
Our 2002 GMC pickup has these .
If it was really meant to be an improvement, it would have spinning brushes to take the mud off.
You can spend $100K for a top-of-the-line Jeep.
Talk about misguided priorities.
Bought my last Cherokee Xj for $250, drove it for 200K miles and sold it for $500.
It was a different world.
Looking for more, but much harder to find, and lots more expensive.
Which means Jeep "invented" exactly nothing. All they've done is alter minor details of existing products and called it "new."
Our 1979 Chrysler New Yorker had this type of wiper system. It was about the only thing that worked on that car. Chrysler eventually refunded all of my dad’s money. Other than that, the soft Corinthian leather seats were nice.
I bet they don’t work in a snowy winter climate. None of the newer systems are reliable in those conditions. That is when it pay to go back to metal squirt tubes on the hood area. At least if those do freeze they are easy to thaw. Anywhere plastic is used then you are at the mercy of waiting for a warm day before you can use your washers again.
I have a feeling that those little holes are going to clog really fast...
