All due respect FRiend but unmediated unsupervised alcohol withdrawal can be fatal. This guy needs to be medically supervised.
The pain of loss can be unbearable, but alcohol will make it worse. Talk to your doctor; they have medicatons which can help you cope.
You can give up anytime. Stick around just to see how bad things are going to get. I promise there will be enough booze to get you through; if you have enough money.

The drunk was in need, feeling like he had dug a pit too deep. His therapist gave him some positive energy and code words. The preacher told him “I’ll pray for you.”
The fellow alcoholic from AA jumped into the pit with him. The drunk said “What are you doing!? Now you’re in the pit with me!”

The guy behind me in the gas station line let out a barrage of opinions that lead me to believe he had no love affair with Shiff, Pelousy and Schumer. LOL! Just out of the blue!
People are getting fed up and it will reach a climax.

My Grandpa was sober over 45 years and helped many find sobriety…God bless him! He use to go out in the middle of the night to help families dealing with an alcoholic. The grown children from these families came to honor him when he passed away.
Just parked next to a guy about to load his car at Walmart a few hours ago.
He was pretty ticked off at the disaster unfolding under Joe.

The Bible says in Psalm 37…Fret not thyself against evil doers. It goes on to tell you what will happen to them. God knows how evil this world is and he has a plan. Everyone needs to make sure whose side they are on. Jesus said if you aren’t for me you are against me. You may need to adjust where you are living. If possible go to a lovely quiet place.
When I find myself getting depressed or angry I switch off the news for a time. It’s why I don’t post here every day.
I second the suggestion of attending AA. Are there any family members, friends, neighbors, coworkers who can support you in your sobriety journey? That can make a huge difference. You never stop being an alcoholic but if you surround yourself with good people who build you up you won’t need to find comfort in a bottle as much. I’m praying for you.

Here I am, working from home in the middle of only cows around Montana. I drive into town every few weeks to see if society has nuked itself. Every time I go in it gets a little more crazy and a little more madder.
She’s a gonna blow and I’m interested as to how it’s all gonna play out.

I had just gotten out of my rental vehicle, he says something on the order of good evening.
He then proceeded to slam Biden on the unfolding disaster in this country.
I didn’t expect it, but there it was. We spoke for a couple of minutes or so, and he said good evening and proceeded to drive off as I headed into the store for a few things.
Yeah, I bought extra food last evening, as I often do.
FWIW, I got 18 cans of a cheap pasta and meatballs, 2 packs of small candy bars and a 12 pack of small candy bars.
Total cost, just a bit under $15, with tax. Minus a quarter and a bit.
God bless him. It works when you work it.
