Talk Media Networks has cut ties with host Ken Matthews after comments he thought were being made to his engineer went out live on the air.
On an apology broadcast and shared online, Matthews said that on his July 12th show, when he was told he was in a break his mic fed to the network and he made some vulgar comments reading Hunter Biden’s emails that he thought were being told only to his engineer unaware they went out over the air. Talk Media Network immediately cut ties with Matthews, but will continue to feed best-of programs to affiliates until August 12.
Matthews entered syndication last December as one of the many 12-3pm eastern shows attempting to gain some of Rush Limbaugh audience. He was previously an occasional fill-in host for Limbaugh and hosts afternoons at iHeartMedia’s 580 WHP Harrisburg PA. Matthews pivoted to talk in 2009 as a fill-in at WKXW Trenton before joining WHP as afternoon host in 2013. He was best known for his 15 year run in mornings at CHR “B104” WAEB-FM Allentown PA from 1991-2006 and has also worked at stations in Portland ME, Cincinnati, and Charleston SC in his career.
In a tweet explaining his exit, Matthews stated he will continue to provide content to right-wing social media platforms Gab, Rumble and TruthSocial.

Well, they actually had talent.
Today's actor/comedians who have no talent continue to break taboo to gain popularity.
I was taught that vulgarity and profanity were due to a lack of vocabulary. These days it's not just spewing vulgarities and profanities, it's actually BEING VULGAR AND PROFANE. To be POPULAR, to be a STAR, you have to go ONE STEP FURTHER than everyone else.
What did he say that was so bad?

This is sabotage for certain. There was just too much error going on for too long to be an unintentional technical error.
I didn’t mean ‘you’ specifically...only generally...the Freepers you mentioned as it were.
I think part of Benny’s persona was that he was a skinflint/miser.
Jack Benny didn’t even have to say anything to get a laugh…
Henny Youngman?
You said it!
Or, “like, uh...uh, like, um, like, uh...” (You get the picture.)
Finding a decent comedy routine without vulgarity is difficult. I seldom listen to any commentary, be it comedic or serious, if it uses crude language more than once or twice. I do enjoy comedians at drybar on YouTube because it has to be clean. Even comedians who are known to be vulgar usually must clean up the act for drybar.
“Talk radio as we have known it is being deliberately imploded IMHO.”

Ken is on our local AM dial. The guy is great!
Entertaining, informative, and addresses issues in a fun way!
Great guy who’s getting PURGED!!!!!
It was a running joke that Benny was tightfisted with his money. People liked him, and got to know him ovr years and years of radio and were in on the jokes.
Jerry Seinfeld said that if you have to use profanity in a joke you haven’t properly or completely developed the joke.
I agree. And if you can’t express yourself without swearing, then what you have to say doesn’t interest me.
No he didn’t. Not even true. Rodney Dangerfield He would be in the middle of his act and use it as an example. It wouldn’t be funny to just say take my wife please. He would say I don’t get no respect. Take my wife…..
The other running joke was his age...he answered "39", for about forty years. I was watching one of his shows (or a guest appearance, I don't recall which) and he answered "49". Cracked me and the audience up!

As you say Rodney used it from time to time—it was Henny Youngman (noted by another poster) who used it as his opening line (see youtube above...).
I like James Gregory.
He swears a little, but not too much:

Gab, Rumble and TruthSocial are conservative, NOT right wing.
Everything not explicity ‘right wing’ becomes ‘left wing’ over time.
