My brother owns a few restaurants. This is the norm for food retail industry. Employees who quit, steal or f around. The Mickey D’s manager at least now knows that you have to keep interviewing.
here in L.A.. McD’s hires at $17 to start and they still couldn’t fill in the positions at some restos I pass by daily..

There’s always something that needs to be done at any place of business, especially a fast-food place. If your job stipulates that you have to be there at 4, that’s when you show up.
$17/hr ain’t what it used to be—and doesn’t go far in CA.
Garbage men get paid more because it is gross work, and getting to Micky D’s by 4:15 am deserves some sort of premium.
Return the 40 million illegals in the country now and such entry-level work will be paid better—or disappear.

I feel their pain. Back in the day, I used to have to report at 5AM for a cleaning crew at a local mall for $4/hr. That was in 1982 when it was very hard to find any kind of summer job.
This is what happens when kids aren’t properly raised, disciplined and taught that actions have consequences.
Participation trophies and time-outs aren’t cutting it.
