In this era of severe worker shortages and unprecedented mobility, employees are demanding great quality of life in the state where they work.
Half of business executives surveyed agree it is important to do business in states with inclusive laws.
CNBC’s annual America’s Top State for Business study considers multiple measures of the quality of life, health and inclusion.

Our Life, Health and Inclusion category considers factors such as crime rates, environmental quality, and health care. For the first time in 2022, we also consider the availability of childcare, which the U.S. Chamber of Commerce found is a major obstacle for parents seeking to reenter the workforce.
We also consider inclusiveness of state laws in areas like protections against discrimination and voting rights. That’s not politics, it’s business.

With workers in short supply, companies are doing all they can to attract them.
That includes locating in states that are welcoming, inclusive, and offer a great quality of life.

Plus, half the respondents in the latest survey of the CNBC Global CFO Council agreed that it is important to do business in a state where the laws are as open and inclusive as possible.

What a bunch of BS
If the disclaimer were true it wouldn't have to be made.
I moved TO Arizona, and housing prices are being driven by others moving here. I guess I’m happy to discourage cnbc types from coming.
“Half of business executives surveyed agree it is important to do business in states with inclusive laws.”
That is as far as anyone needs to read, in order to get a bead on this article.
Only in CNBC LA-LA land would Oregon be on the top 10 list of best states to live in.
Damn. They left off Idaho.
Wait a dang minute now. The democommie ads currently being run in nevaDUH are letting us know we’re #1 in economic momentum. Not sure what exactly that means...... Our economics aren’t seeing much momentum. 😵😲✌. Other than that, it appears the article is 🐎💩.

Heh, CNBC.
Vermont is #1.
That’s why a dairy farming family I know moved their business from Vermont to Texas.
Most people have very different criteria when deciding where to live.
“What a bunch of BS”
On steroids. Silly.
An acquaintance our son’s family at their church in Bend, Oregon had a boy entering middle school. After he took a survey, they received a call saying he would benefit from membership in the school’s transgender club. They declined but received continuous calls from the school. They asked to see the curriculum. The school said it was not possible to see what was taught or visit the club. They next received a call from the State Department of Human Services expressing their concern. My son has visited the public schools in Bend and seen the ubiquitous posters which confirm the accuracy of the story. The couple has left the state.
LOL- lets get away from the lefts subjective BS and look at real numbers such as the top 10 states people are moving to:
1- Texas
2- Florida
3- South Carolina
4- N Carolina
5- Georgia
6- Tennessee
7- Nevada
8- Maine
9- Delaware
10- Idaho
All the libs out there should take their advice and NOT move to Arizona. We are the worst state to live in.
I knew we could pull a number 1 on SOMETHING!
I just fled from Portland after spending almost my entire life there. A friend just moved to TX from Portland and is shocked at ho much better it is in TX. You can’t even go to downtown Portland anymore and it used to be so nice.
Deja Vu all over again! Baghdad Bob lives!
Totally agree.
I guess the CEO of Caterpillar wasn’t surveyed:
