Whoops. I think you misread.

"In Australia, the anti-choice movement is funded by the US..."

The woman who made that statement is a leading advocate for abortion, and her claim about USA funding for pro-life organizations is backed up by no evidence.

According to the article, she was detained in Los Angeles Airport by immigration officials for not having the proper entry visa from Australia.

Airline officials will not allow someone to board if they don't have the correct papers. If a person flies to another country without the correct papers to enter that country, the airline has to take them back to their country of origin and the airline has to pay for the return flight. Therefore, airlines are quite diligent about this.

Why would she even encounter border patrol at an airport? Did she fly to Mexico and cross at the border? Apparently not, because she claims she was stopped in L.A. where she would have been given a free abortion, if she wanted one, as an illegal alien.

Those were her words, that she didn't get the papers in time. Maybe someone in Australia made a mistake or cut her some slack believing that the American officials would be lax in their enforcement of the border?

I flat out don’t believe this. Especially for a border station in Los Angeles. This story is BS.

Agree. If ANYTHING, they suspected her of ingesting drugs and might have asked if she were pregnant because they were going to X-ray her.. The abortion tie-in is pure leftist BS.

Think about foreign people trying to smuggle drugs into the US......INGESTING dozens of little bags of cocaine, etc.

If anything, they were thinking about X-raying her lying ass....

But big airports like LAX have a “sterile” international area where passengers in transit can go to their departing flights without entering the USA.

This is standard operating procedure all over the world - in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Rome, the Gulf - everybody has an international transit area.

Except Dublin. When my daughter was flying Hamburg-Dublin-Bordeaux, returning from vacation to her job in France, she had to enter Ireland to get her flight to Bordeaux. I had given her a Streamlight flashlight with a rail attachment (but no rifle) for her stay in France, she brought it with her to Germany, but the Border Force in Ireland detained her because rail mounts are not permitted and they wanted to know where the rifle was.

Indeed. The only reason I’d get somebody from another country to come over would be if she was a relative or otherwise well known to me.

With young women -— More and more nose rings these days. Studs too in the nose. All in gold or more likely cheap gold plating. Better than extensive tattoos, because piercings are far less permanent.

“Think about foreign people trying to smuggle drugs into the US......INGESTING dozens of little bags of cocaine, etc.”

Why bother smuggling drugs that way when the borders are wide open and people caught with 50 pounds of meth, or 150,000 fentanyl pills are released from custody? This is insanity.

Have you ever watched ANY of the multiple “To Catch a Smuggler” series from multiple cities the world over? If you happen to have a Hulu subscription you can see them for Madrid, Columbia, Brazil, Italy, the US and others. It’s an ongoing battle which we are losing....
