Ford is one of those actors who makes enjoyable movies, despite his limited range as an actor. I’ve enjoyed his movies since American Graffiti.
His age difference from his wife, Calista Flockhart, is 23 years, the same as Donald and Melania. I don’t hear the same kind of sneering, nasty remarks from Hollywood about the Fords as we did about the Trumps.
Apocalypse Now

We worked with him on Young Eagles in the Rocky Mountain region. He’s a real personable type of guy and was generous with his time and flying.

Nowadays, being old enough to be your wife’s father doesn’t seem to be an issue ( I don’t think it ever was an issue in many cultures ). But, but, but, a woman marrying a husband who’s young enough to be your son? hmmmm....
We should ask French President Macron about that.
He’s always been my all-around favorite actor.
The thing I find most interesting about his career is that he almost always played the good guy.
The only exception I know of was a movie where he’s a doctor living on a lake and his wife gets murdered - turns out he is the killer. I really didn’t care for it - it just didn’t seem right casting him as the bad guy.
yep the “cousin” from Ohio(?I think) loved that scene

What about the heart throb Robert Redford ? I finally saw him as a bad guy in Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Also, the very funny Robin Williams played a creepy bad guy in the movie: One Hour Photo and Insomnia
Haven’t seen the movie ‘Witness’. But about 10 yrs ago a farmer friend linked me to the scene where a character is being buried in a silo of grain. The character wallows in it and is eventually covered up. The part that is pathetic that the flow into the silo was not that great. You sink in maybe a foot. Just re-adjust your feet every minute or so and you never get in any deeper.
I’ve been involved in grain handling a good share of my life. You would need to have a truckload dumped on you immediately to get trapped, say, if you were in a grain facility receiving pit, working on something.
The disaster is when emptying the bin or silo, one goes in because some mold or simply too high moisture in the grain causes some insecure slopes, and then a sudden avalanche.
I’ve seen that many times.

80?? OK, I really feel old now. Ford in my favorite scene from "Apocalypse Now" - the terminate with extreme prejudice scene.
I recall reading and article somewhere in the past about a search and rescue being called for a lost boy scout.
Ford went up in his helicopter and found the kid and brought him home.
