Climate science was an obscure and unimportant corner of academia until the professors lucked out with global warming. The global warming idea apparently struck a spark with the government and media establishments and caught fire. Money and influence flooded from Washington to academia.

In his farewell address in 1961, President Dwight D. Eisenhower warned against the scientific-technological elite being dependent upon government grants. Eisenhower feared that the elite would use their influence and expertise to warp public policy for their own benefit. That is exactly what is happening. Global warming is only one of many current scientific frauds that enhance the welfare of the scientists and bureaucrats promoting the frauds.

Since World War II, the increasing flow of big money from Washington has contributed to a gradual change in the character of research universities. Money became more important than science. Administrators who were focused on money and power grew in number and became dominant. This change in character was documented in an important essay by the MIT scientist Richard Lindzen.

Global warming provided the professors and academic administrators with a junk science golden goose. They were determined to stop anyone from killing the goose.

A narrative was developed to crush “deniers” who dared to question the global warming narrative. The deniers were depicted as agents of the international oil companies. This is somewhat comical since the oil companies were constantly searching for someone to accept their surrender. The oil companies not only had no chance of winning a propaganda war with academia and the media, they didn’t want to try. They were ready to swear allegiance to the global warming narrative. They knew perfectly well that global warming nonsense was no threat to their business. But the mob needs a villain so they weren’t allowed to surrender.

The public does not realize that altering the measured data so that it matches the computer model is not the way predictive science is supposed to work. It is just a leftist attempt at the old trick of orchestrated crisis, this time to gain control of the means of production.

The Global Warming Scam is something I use to think was created by the Third World to get its hands in our pockets and used by our own politicans to grab more power. I've come to the conclusion that unlike Lysenkoism the damage here is deliberate. The enemies of the American Republic are using this as the excuse to make the West die.

Problem is, it seems that we have no agenda. We listen to shows, videos, forums.... read the latest shocking book. And it stops there.

Our only hope is the next election? The left understands that, and we saw how the last one came out.

IMHO, the best simple fact is the Holocene Epoch. It brings to light two things:

1. The Modern Warm Period (going on since the 1800's) is one of many warm periods that have gone on for thousands of years. Basically, it's old news, not some new phenomenon. And it won't last forever, maybe another 2 to 4 centuries before we enter another cooling period.

2. Each warm period for the past 7,500 years is cooler than its predecessor. Our Modern Warm Period isn't as warm as the most recent warm period (Medieval Warm Period AD 900-1300), which wasn't as warm as the one before that (Roman Warm Period at the time of Christ 2,000 years ago), which didn't get as warm as the one before that (Minoan Warm Period, time of Moses 3,500 years ago). So global warming today is a big nothing burger.

You can observe it with this graph of the Holocene Epoch. The warmageddonists want you to pretend climate history begins on the far right of the graph where the black line has been going up for the past 2 centuries. But if you expand out to the past 7,500 years, you'll see that on average the temperatures are in decline. Each warm period that last centuries is a minor hiccup in the overall cooling trend.

The Climate Change “crisis” is a part of the foundation for the “great Reset.” Leaders of the UN machine such as Christiana Figueres have been clear, the whole motivation is not environmental but political, to “transform” the economic system of the globe to accommodate a benevolent dictatorship of the elite.

All the institutions and powers that be have been co-opted into this enterprise, with the enthusiastic collusion of the media..

Thank you. I had heard that historically there were warming periods. I will save what you wrote, save the chart, and put some of those facts in my head to relate to others.

We bought property in Kentucky back in the 1970’s. Part of it was a high hill. The property was located a few miles from the Ohio River. We had a bulldozer put in a driveway to the top of the hill. I used to walk on the drive looking for fossils of which there were plenty. Coral fossils and other sea life that made me realize that at one time it was MUCH warmer there in years past....and that it was under water at one time.

If you're a Bible believer, print out this graph to look at in whatever room you read the Bible, especially as you read through the Old Testament. That's significant for this discussion because the OT spans over 1,000 years (as it was written, not counting that Genesis covers topics long before Moses' time).

To me it's fascinating that when God parted the Red Sea around 1,500 BC (in the graph that's 3.5 thousand years ago, about halfway between the 4 and 3 at the bottom), the Minoan Warm Period was going strong. This means that the sea level of the Red Sea (Sea of Reeds) was probably even higher than it is now. Yet God parted that! Likewise, during the 40 years of wandering in the wilderness the Israeli's had trouble finding food and only when they turned to Him did He provide manna. Again, this was during a warm period, which historically is a great time for crop yields, predictable rain patterns, and low deaths by plagues. (The warmageddonists have it backwards -- it's the cooling periods that kill masses of people by climate, not the warming periods). Basically, if God wants to get your attention He can do it even contrary to nature.

The same during the Greek Dark Age (the cooling period beginning about 3.1 thousand years ago). There were times God brought rain and plenty during an era that was usual for drought and famine. Bible chronology wise, the Greek Dark Age would begin near the end of the Book of Judges right before the time of Eli and Samuel, and last through the rest of the prophet books in the OT. The entire New Testament was written while the Roman Warm Period was rocking on (the bump in the graph at 2 thousand years ago).

I’ve been asking this for many years. Until one of these leftist simpletons can respond coherently to this (We know they can’t because if they could, after this many years, they would have done so.), there is no hope of reasoning with them.
