Brittney Griner is speaking for herself for the first time in a long time as she's been detained in Russia pending a trial -- and her words are an emotional plea to President Biden.
Excerpts of a letter sent to the White House this week on behalf of Griner were published Sunday, through reps for Griner, and it consists of bullet point thoughts she's expressing as she faces years behind bars for allegedly bringing hash cartridges into the country.

If only every loudmouth, America-hating, self-important famous citizen of this country could spend a little time in a foreign jail, things would improve around here. People might learn a little gratitude for the privilege of being born a US citizen. Most of the world envies us and dreams of having the kind of luxury, convenience, and wealth that even the poor of our nation have. Sadly, we have the perpetually aggrieved for whom nothing is ever good enough, and they think they can improve on the greatest nation on earth by making radical and fundamental changes that essentially repudiate the very qualities that made this nation great.
Ironically, President Trump would have swiftly got her back home, in spite of her being a poster child for the left. But I won’t lose any sleep over her situation.

So that’s how she dressed for court?
So she disrespected Russian law by bringing in an illegal substance, then went on to disrespect the Russian court by dressing and looking like a American thug.
I do understand that things are different over there, and she may not have had the ability to get more suitable clothes, but a black suit with long sleeves to cover the tattoos and a tidier arrangement of the hair might have helped her look more serious. More like “I know I’m in real trouble here” and less like “I’m an American, I can do what I want.”
She’s now trying to hide behind the American flag. I find that disgusting.
Once found guilty, Griner should serve its time in prison. I'm confident that Griner will learn its lesson and will not be a repeat offender.
