Park officials said bison are wild and unpredictable, as recent incidents show.

For the second time in three days, a visitor to Yellowstone National Park has been gored by a bison.

Park officials say a 71-year-old woman from West Chester, Pennsylvania, and her daughter inadvertently approached the bison Wednesday as they were returning to their vehicle at a Yellowstone Lake trailhead.

The woman’s injuries were not life-threatening. She was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Cody, Wyoming.

The incident remains under investigation.

On Monday, a 34-year-old Colorado man got too close to a bison and was thrown as he grabbed a child. An Ohio woman was gored in May.

Park officials said bison are wild and unpredictable, and visitors should stay more than 25 yards away.

Parents that park their children in front of the boob tube or video games that defy reality.

They relegate their responsibility to cartoons that brainwash them with “Disneyfication”

How do you inadvertently approach something the size of a very large cow without noticing it.

Ah yes; the forever glued to the screen smart phone user. I can’t tell you the number of times out in the woods I’ve encountered hikers looking at their damn phones. I think, Hey, you’re out in the woods, man! Put down the phone and look around.

I wonder that since animals seem to be more perceptive about their environment if somethings going on with the super volcano that’s making them behave differently than they normally do.

we had a Beefalo for a number of years. Half buffalo and half cow.

Ran it in our commercial cattle herd that was bred for black baldies.

At first glance you would think it was a black Angus, until you got close, then you realized she was about 150 percent bigger than the other cows. She was gentle, but I always respected her space.

She had the gestation of a buffalo, not a cow. It was longer than a cow’s.

Several years ago after the ‘Jaws’ scare, subsequent shark movies and the ‘Shark Week’ programs, I surfed through a channel which showed a cartoon of a shark which walked on its tail and spoke like a human interacting with humans, trying to put forth the idea that sharks are ‘good.’

Please do not tell me that the people who make cartoons are NOT trying to influence children.

That reminds me of the farmer pulling a calf using a contraption called a calf puller. His farm was adjoined to a busy highway and a guy pulled off the highway to see what he was doing. He said he was pulling a calf using his calf puller tool. The guy was just amazed. He said do you have to do that often? No, but it’s not rare. The guy (obviously from the city) couldn’t believe it and asked just how fast do you believe that calf was running when it ran into her?

Was the child a Taekwondo student?

I pulled a calf once. Very messy. Used a winch chained to a post. Calf was already dead. Cow lived on to produce more calves.
