You are completely correct about the real reason for the committee.
Constitutionally any committee must have a legislative purpose. So the purpose that the Dems claim is that making sure something like January 6 never happens again. It is a big lie just like everything else. Unfortunately lying by Congress in the Capitol is protected by the Constitution.

Wow. Look at the number of people who have been swallowing this crap for years. I know of some pretty popular “Christian” doctors who made a pretty good income pushing the chemical imbalance crap. I always doubted it.

In the last 2 days, I have found a large number of H1B extension denials. INS is asking companies to prove that they can’t find US citizens for these jobs. Mostly, Electrical engineers, and IT workers. Plus interviews are delayed for a year. At least, 8 people had called me for immigration lawyer suggestions, and job openings who can do H1B transfer. Even companies are refusing to transfer. Let’s see how long this will hold. Most cases are from Texas and Vermont centers.
