Abortions in Florida and Kentucky may temporarily resume after judges barred the states from enforcing abortion bans on Thursday.
Kentucky and twelve other states implemented a trigger law which would outlaw abortions in the instance of a ruling to overturn the 1973 landmark, Roe v. Wade.
Kentucky Judge Mitch Perry granted a temporary restraining order on Thursday to halt the state from enforcing a ban triggered by the Supreme Court's 6-3 vote - the state passed the trigger law in 2019.
'We're glad the court recognized the devastation happening in Kentucky and decided to block the commonwealth's cruel abortion bans,' Planned Parenthood said in a statement.
The ban was lifted since being implemented on Friday following the Supreme Court Ruling. The state intended to limit abortions to be allowed only if needed to prevent death or injury to the mother.
The ruling was met with contention by Republican State Attorney General Daniel Cameron, who claimed Perry had no right under the Kentucky constitution to allow abortion services to resume.
'We cannot let the same mistake that happened in Roe v. Wade, nearly 50 years ago, to be made again in Kentucky,' Cameron said. 'We will be seeking relief from this order.'
Florida Judge John Cooper temporarily halted the block on abortions after 15-weeks following a petition from abortion advocate groups. The ban was signed into law by Republican Governor Ron DeSantis in April and was set to take effect on Friday - following the overturn of Roe.

These judges need to be arrested
These judges do what they’re told. This judge is sooooo wrong.
My understanding is that a state could pass a law to create a right to privacy.
10th Amendment, US Constitution: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
Is this the judicial tyranny that Occasional Cortex is talking about? I assume not...
“ The rule of law is as dead as a bag of hammers.”
Yes it is. I think we are up 5/6 lower courts overturning the SC and the states have capitulated. Chaos and Anarchy.
Rouge judges. Roberts should order them off the bench. HA ha ha 😂 🤣 😆
“Cameron said. ‘We will be seeking relief from this order.’“
We will be seeking relief?? Unbelievable. They are allowing a hack judges orders overruling the SC be allowed to stand until you “get relief”? The “Judges” orders should have been ignored and tossed five minutes after they were made.
It is unconstitutional to allow for abortion. They can move in with all the bs tyrannical crap they want to. They’d be acting extra constitutionally like Blackmun did.
However, they would be acting unconstitutionally
There’s nothing naive about that.
Here in Texas so far we are letting the judges ruling stand. Ken Paxton is appealing it, but not ignoring it. So far there is no decision to the judges order.
Arrest and imprison a few doctors and judges. This shit stops.
uh, rogue judges.
Rouge is makeup. :)
Ack
In Florida, if you’re going judge shopping for a far left progressive in a black robe, Leon County is the place to go—no doubt the death cult had this judge already picked out for their contingency plans.
Texas is a little confusing. The had a law against abortion before roe and then added a trigger law after roe. The trigger law is active 30 days after the decision is posted. Should be posted within 30 days so at most 60 days to be law. Now since the law before roe was not repealed or replaced, there is a legal question if the new laws means the old law no longer matters. Really just a delay action, no abortions in Texas within 60 days.
So, really, why? With NICS what purpose does it serve? Why do they need to know what firearm you purchase if you are not prohibited?
Let me get this straight.
They are (again) claiming “in privacy” any thing goes?
Including murder?
Not to mention “privacy” Being fully subjective.
I urge everyone to view “silent scream” on YouTube — if you dare.
You will never be confused on the issue.
If they decide to Codify Roe at the Federal Level then that buys another court case to over turn it. Lets see if they even try to do it. Either they do it in the next few months or their window is closed shut for years, maybe decades.
I want them to try and do so, the fight would be mammoth and brutal, the Hard Left will accept nothing less that total Abortion on Demand Period, nothing else, compromise just may be totally impossible.
Formality. USOC has spoken. Liberal judges can’t overide it.
