The bill passed the House 234-193 on Friday afternoon, with 14 Republicans voting with all Democrats to support it.
There’s no legal recourse or presumption of innocence with red flag laws and should be struck down as unconstitutional 🤪
This is an enemy identification vote. We will know shortly who to definitely remove from Congress. Yeah, we probably know most of their names already.
Every one knows this will be decided by the Supreme Court in a few years.
What constitutes a Red Flag restriction has been intentionally left undefined so they can use it against regular, loyal Americans in the same way they have perverted the Patriot Act and used it to persecute innocent American citizens.
It won’t take long .....
When the radical left can’t just impose it socialist will on the people, it’s next level of effort is to gum up the legal system with inconsistent and unconstitutional ‘laws’. The Dems will crow to their base they implemented gun law reform with this bill, but it doesn’t really do much. The squish republicans will say they ‘did something’ to address gun violence. Addressing mental health problems may be a positive from this. But true conservatives will point out that support for red flag laws will open up another legal Pandora’s box over due process and protections of having rights trampled by false or incorrect accusations. Conservative justices will still be critical to preventing erosion of rights going forward. All colors of bad laws coming from left legislatures.
