Had a discussion with a friend who showed me his vax card. I'm not vaxxed. He told me the "lot number" on his vax card is specific/dedicated to the individual vaccine he took. I told him that would be impossible as their would be 220+ million lot numbers and that the lot number is associated with the lot of vaccines produced.
Does anyone know the correct answer??

He’s clearly afraid to acknowledge that he took the vaccine. The 2 that really gave me cause for pause, were: gas_dr & Mom MD.
Both of you are correct. It is a lot number that identifies the lot of a batch. You are correct that a lot number does not identify a single shot that was given to only a single person.

So how would he be correct?? He’s claiming the lot number is specific to him, not everyone who took the vax from that batch.
He’s right that it identifies the vaccine he took. He is wrong that it pertains just to him personally. In other words, he is not the only one with that lot number listed. Does that help? 🙂
It does- thank you. And i’ve already confirmed it with two family members who took the vax on the same day and have the same lot number.

no I’m accusing them of being anti-vaxxers for spreading anti-vaxxer propaganda. I couldn’t care less if they choose to avoid the vaccines but I do care if their misrepresentations cause others to make a bad decision to avoid the vaccines.

A lot number is for a whole batch produced at one time. It can be several vials or several cases of vials.They were produced on the same date at the same time and therefore labeled as the same lot.
