Police say the driver lost control of the semi-truck and after the truck overturned, the filling spilled out.
This truck driver probably didn't relish this situation — an overturned semi-truck spilled 15,000 pounds of hot dog filler onto the roadway in Pennsylvania, according to authorities.
According to a police report, the Freightliner was speeding down Interstate 70 in Rostraver when the driver began to lose control.
The truck then left the roadway and drove into the soft shoulder. As this happened, the cab of the truck was impaled by several trees, which helped stop the truck.
Police say that because of the "violent stopping motion" of the cab, the meat product inside the cab dislodged and spilled on the road. In all, about 15,000 pounds of hot dog filler catapulted onto the road.

Police say after further investigation into the crash officers found multiple brakes on the truck were "completely inoperable," which resulted in the truck being unable to stop.

Looks like the opening to one of those 1950s SciFi movies. The pink slim will slither away and assume the form of the inhabitants of a small town.
The red plastic bags make me think this was a bad blend of meat destined for the landfill.
We use RTU’s (ready to use) all the time but ours comes in stainless vats. These appear to be loaded into cardboard containers. The weight also is suspect because this is about what we would consider to be one blending of product.
Dollar wise, this amount would be around $22k here.
Another thing I see is that the color tells me the the liquid smoke hasn’t been applied or added yet.
Occasionally, the meat comes thru the oven and someone has forgotten to add the cure. When this happens, the color is about the same as those green plastic bags shown in the photo. Sort of a bloated, road kill fluorescent green color and it smells like road kill too.

Is this from The Onion?
We only buy kosher dogs.
Made from “lips and assholes”!
“I worked at a meat packing plant for a couple of months in my high school days. Attempting to outrun all the stray dogs on the way home was a thing to see.”
That’s funny!!
Can I ask you do you avoid eating sausages today? Or are you picky to look to avoid something specific
Um... I think I just ate my last hot dog.
LOL!
😜
:)
Quite frankly, it should be.
Years ago a trucker told me he disconnected the cab breaks to prevent jack knifes, and only used trailer breaks.
Bears and crows find party going on.
I’m all out anyway. It’s yardbird on the grill today.
Did you know that in the past week...your hotdogs have been spilled on the streets?
Now with asphalt !
