Union Pacific ordered a company which ships an additive necessary for diesel trucks to satisfy EPA emission requirements (it’s not added to the diesel, but the exhaust),
to cut the number of tank cars shipping their additive BY HALF.
A couple of companies (I can’t recall which) have announced they will be cutting back their shipments of some foodstuffs to California and Washington, since the costs are getting too high.
One almost suspects they are doing this on purpose.

Have you got a link for this?
As far as I can tell, the stores in rural TN are still stocked fine. It’s taking a while to get my ordered dry dog food but it’s coming. I will have enough to last a year when it gets here. My little divas don’t eat off the shelf dog food and I make most of theirs. ๐ The eat the limited ingredient dry (L.I.D.) and I make the wet in the food processor, dry it in the dehydrator, vacuum seal it, and freeze it. If the power goes off, it doesn’t spoil since it’s dehydrated but it keeps better in the freezer when not being used. Soak it a few minutes and it’s normal food.
UP is not to be trusted. For that matter, none of the Class 1 railroads are to be trusted. They promised to kiss the ring as each successive railroad merger or acquisition took place beginning in the 1950's... just like what happened to the media until there were only a handful of companies controlling everything. Too big to fail? Nonsense. But too big to not do everything the cabal demands.
DH went to the local hardware store, part of ACE but the name of the store is True Value. Shelves had a lot of empy spaces, out of a lot of stuff, or one or two of things. Owner said that they used to get 90% of what they ordered, now they get 50%.
