It's a guy thing!
I know a lot of people like to goof on Tom Cruise for his private life but the guy is one of the last real Hollywood stars and gives 100% in his movies (even when I don’t like the movie).
It's easy to fool some people.
Never liked Tiny Tom...he’s creepy.
And Cruise pilots his own P-51 Mustang in the film
Who are the enemies they go up against in the movie?
Taking the boys to see it this afternoon in the 4D theater. The seats move and vibrate with the action, air is blown on you and you can smell things like smoke. A two hour amusement park ride set to a major motion picture.
“Who are the enemies they go up against in the movie?”
Iraq, IIRC. (The movie itself was so intense I glossed over the bad guys.)
“I am told that it is very gay friendly”
It wasn’t — at all (that I noticed).
The trailer is damned good.
They might ... when it makes a half a billion dollars.
Yes that's the size of it.
I’ll see it when I can see it for free.
I liked it very much as well.
On the list of threats to families, civil society, and America, Scientology is probably not in the top 1000. It is a stupid, kooky cult, with at most ~25,000 members. Avoid it, but it is not a big deal except for the idiots who are members.
On the other hand, Hollywood and the studios are a nightmare (Paramount/CBS/Viacom/National Amusements in this case), actively corrupting and propagandizing millions of people, taking the money from tickets and funding democrats and LGBTQ++++ causes. That’s a real reason to avoid buying anything from Hollywood.
my thought exactly. I apply that rule to most everything Hollywood these days.
YouTube is probably blocked here. Just copy and paste.
Yep Tom Cruise may be a nutty nut nutty but he makes a hella movie.
**And Cruise pilots his own P-51 Mustang in the film**
Proof that being good at pretending can pay very well.
My wife and I haven’t been interested in hollywood products for decades.
I remember a guy saying if you work on a set of a movie, you remember all the multiple shoots, the sets, the mess up of lines, and can’t look at the movie the same way as the average moviegoer, it’s so... so produced, not natural.
Besides, all they needed to do was get the IAF to film one or more of their fighter squadron’s real ‘adventures’, and save the ton of money they spend on pretenders.
I started looking at movies this way during the first Jaws. Make believe is like a woman’s makeup: you are not seeing the real deal.
