The Indiana state legislature banned biologically male athletes from playing on women’s sports at public schools on Tuesday, overriding Republican Gov. Eric Holcomb’s veto on the legislation.

HEA 1041, set to go into effect July 1, requires public schools designate sports categories by sex and the genetics of the athletes. Holcomb originally vetoed HEA 1041 in March 2022, arguing at the time that the bill did not offer “one consistent state policy regarding the fairness in K-12 sports in Indiana.”

Indiana has a history of electing weak-kneed Governors.

Pence folded when pushed, too.

Utah did this as well. Very Republican states are a good place to purge RINO squishes and override them into irrelevancy.

Good, but there’s no need to put “biological” before male. It’s redundant. Also, “trans female” is a misnomer. It should be “male.”

So “trans female” = male.

“Biological male” = male.

So “trans female” = “biological male” = male and it’s insane out there and getting insaner.

What is it with all these weak RINO squishes in the governor’s mansions in various states?

This is what the 3rd? 4th? time a Republican legislature has had to ram this down a RINO governor’s throat?

I finally got it straight by substituting "fake" for "trans".

Now, we do need to be fair and admit there is a tiny subset of the population which may benefit from trans surgery. But they are not the type who is going to want to call attention to themselves by doing well in women's sports and such. For the most part, they don't care to call attention to themselves at all.

Isn't not letting boys compete in girl's sports "one consistent state policy"? Jeez! Where do they find these guys?

He was elected in 2016 and re-elected in 2020, and can only serve 8 years out of a limit of 12. I don’t think he can run again.

Interesting. Indiana and Utah Governorships are not up this year. How do we fire the Manchurian-types amongst us? They tend to expose themselves more when they’re ‘safely home’. Perhaps a ‘vote of confidence’ amongst party elders/legislators when the 6th year ends. There’s not much to do in years 7 and 8 for most governors. A decent Lt. Governor being moved up could move the states and parties forward. Recalls are a lots of work and voters are too lazy. Both parties could get behind this concept as they consider the ‘moving on’ factor. A promoted Lt. Governor could be confined to one elected term meaning 6 years only. The Lt. Gov. elections thereby become more important.

Original wouldn’t you say?

Article and headline leave out the fact it was the Republican controlled state legislature that overrode the veto - just says “Indiana legislature” while at the same time specifically listing “Republican” for the governor overridden.

written like propaganda.

There is no one who benefits from trans surgery. There is an increase in suicides as well as disabilities, increases in cancer, other health complications such as osteoporosis, not to mention post surgical issues and daily dildos to keep the created passage open.

There are people who reject the thought of one of their normal body parts like a leg, eye etc. They sometimes get an unscrupulous doctor to remove it. That is malpractice as in the multination known as trans surgery.

Mental illness is addressed by counseling not by mutilation. How much worse is it for people who think they will change sex with surgery and drugs when they discover they are a “franken” creation & can’t ever be whole.
Read their stories, I have. They can’t understand how they were rushed & facilitated onto such a terrible path.

“...One consistent policy...” Sounds like the call for comprehensive immigration reform that never happens, so criminals are allowed to invade forever.

RINO.
