Very interesting! Was in Peru this past December. Mostly in Cusco to see the Inca sites. Wonderful country. Very affordable place to travel, way less expensive then Mexico.

Did anyone really think the aliens were only in Egypt?

Lattitude and longitude of Caral: 10° 54’ 0” South, 77° 31’ 0” West

Lattitude and Longitude of Giza: 29° 58’ 35.3280’’ N, 31° 7’ 52.6872’’ E

Some not so Egypt biased academic scholars believe the Giza pyramids are in fact permanent geodesic markers. They were intending to mark the geodesic point of Latitude 30° 0’ and longitude 30° 0’.

If you add 180° to 30° you get 210° which is 30° W longitude and not 10° 54’, but I take your point.

The unbiased scholars believe that the ancients not only understood the earth was spherical but created their own system similar to what we think of as latitude and longitude. Some have theorized the Kaaba in Mecca is one of the geodesic markers, navels, that is sacred but that the reason for preservation has been lost

Well, I think they built it towards the mountains to simply be closer to the quarries. Why move the stone long distance when you can just build the pyramid close to where the stone is?

Well, 180 degrees would be half the circumference, not half the diameter. The diameter is 2r, and the circumference is 2r*Pi. So divide 180 degrees by Pi and you get the actual number of degrees that corresponds to half the diameter of the Earth (appr. 57.296 degrees).

It flourished at around the same time as the Egyptian pyramids were being built.

—This time line is based on the standard Egyptologist boilerplate history which gets its dates from several Kings lists, one of which is known to be a fake. The dates are assumes much the same way as the Christian fundamentalists count by years reigned and name.

The trouble here is not only the aforementioned fake list, but also that Egyptians kings often changed their names several times or took the name of a previous king. Worse there are kings listed who are unknown in the archeological record.

On top of that there is some evidence (bio-thermoluminescence dating) that the standard dates attributed to the Giza pyramids are wrong and they are much older, which screws up the whole King-that-built-it meme. Moreover, the entire complex could only have been planned and built as a unit, not as separate structures built over time (interlocking mathematical patterns, casting of critical and significant shadows, etc).

No, No—no blue prints. That’s the problem. They kept all their stuff in the cloud. One big supernova hack knocked the whole thing out. That’s why we don’t know how to actually build a pyramid. And all this from the same guys who don’t really know how old Egypt’s pyramids actually are? If we could just find one more crystal skull with the directions on the bottom?

The Sphinx shows signs of water erosion consistent with prolonged rainfall, the likes of which are thought to have not occurred in that area for the past
10,000 years.

Yeah but the alternate theory is that the erosion occurred due to dredging the moat around the monument.

The Nile used to come right up to it and it would accumulate a lot of silt and debris which had to be removed to conduct some of the ritual ceremonies that used boats.

The erosion patterns would be the same. Also no other geologist has ever confirmed the publicity hound character that proposed the theory.

Gobekli Teppe is possibly three times older than Caral.

OK, I accept your calculations but can’t see why half the diameter of the earth expressed in degrees is relevant the positions of the pyramids in question. I do not grasp the geometrical relation to the pyramids.

My numbers were intended to show that caral was not halfway round from Giza
