A very good friend is a recently-retired police detective and, while she was still on the job, I used to tease her occasionally by saying the police aren’t there to protect us. They’re there to draw the chalk lines around our bodies. I wasn’t trying to be prophetic.
Low density is a priority of course and TX has it certainly. Wide open spaces are a plus. Alaska has plenty of that too. Unlike here, however, TX is connected by road to all the major population centers in North America.
That could be good. That could be bad. I consider the limited accessibility Of Alaska in general and Mitkof Island in particular an upgrade. It's not for everyone of course. It all depends on your priorities.

There have been rumors in circulation in books and on the Internet, that Pindar should be the head of the Illuminati on Planet Earth, and perhaps even a full blooded Draco alien from the lower 4th dimension. This is what Zagami has to say about Pindar:
“The most important military citadel in central London - and arguably in Britain - is PINDAR, a bunker built beneath the Ministry of Defence on Whitehall. Its construction, which took ten years and reportedly cost £126.3 million, finally came to a conclusion in 1994, but PINDAR became operational two years earlier, in 1992.1 The high cost became the subject of some controversy in the early 1990s. Much of the cost overrun was related to the facility’s computer equipment, which proved extremely difficult to install due to the very limited degree of physical access to the site.
PINDAR’s main function is to serve as a crisis management and communications centre, principally between the MOD headquarters and the actual centre of military operations, the Permanent Joint Headquarters in Northwood. Of course I cannot speak with authority on this, but it seems reasonable to me. It is not as if it was a trans Atlantic flight or something.
Like any other animal, ourselves included, they are what they eat. If you have a trusted source Tilapia would be fine. Better if you could raise them yourself.
The more I learn about nutrition and food, the lower my grocery bill gets.
