They used a freeze-dried cranberry powder, rather than fresh cranberries.

The “Take Charge Of Your Health” Ping List
This potentially high volume ping list is for health articles and studies which describe something you or your doctor, when informed, may be able to immediately implement for your benefit.
Now keeping a new list (“Common/Top Issues”) for conditions expected to only concern at least 1% of the population. Ask to be on either the “Common/Top Issues” or “Everything” list.
Please email or private message me if you want on or off of a list and of which list you desire.

And 60 years ago, they said Cranberries caused cancer. That about done them in.

I wonder if this includes dried cranberries, of which I eat a ton.

I could see how trying to choke-down a cup of cranberries, a day, might make life a living hell that you would not soon forget.

I keep wanting to eat cranberries but I keep forgetting to pick some up at the store.

I eat cranberries almost every day in oatmeal. Love them but they add a lot of calories....it’s worth it though

They used a freeze-dried cranberry powder, rather than fresh cranberries. It tastes great as long as you mix it with rum.

Yeah, and why cranberries. The article says flavinoids are responsible. But a lot of foods, and other berries have lots of flavinoids. Cranberries are typically imported. According to WebMD blackberries are very high and blueberries. Those you can grow or get local, but these are seasonal. My question would be like yours. How much does freezing or freeze-drying destroy the flavanoids?

Well, thanks for this! Keep up the good work.
Little more than a week ago you posted something similar re blueberries (https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/4062502/posts). I went out and bought a couple of bags of blueberries and apparently they are already working great.

I’m sure that I haven’t eaten a cup of cranberries total in my entire life. Also haven’t eaten a cup of acorns, thumbtacks, or drywall screws.

I have a friend who has dementia, a healthcare provider told her to check out LION’S MANE MUSHROOMS. She did and her husband has shown remarkable improvement. I looked it up and there are some very good articles from reputable sources.

It is the added sugar in craisins that inflate the calorie count.
