Former congressman, Lieutenant Colonel Allen West, is challenging Wayne Lapierre for his job as Executive Vice President of the National Rifle Association.
A group of former & current NRA board members has called on West to “rescue” the NRA from what they see as poor management. And Allen West answered their call.
The NRA has been under fire from people like New York State Attorney General Letitia James. Some claim that New York is just targeting the NRA because they are the most prominent gun-rights group in the country, while others think that internal corruption led the NRA to the pickle they are in today. I’m too lazy for that, Bob. If I don’t recognize the number, I don’t answer. I’ve also used the Block Caller feature on dozens of calls this year.
LaPierre would be much better, if only he could afford some nicer suits.

When the NRA-paid solicitors call, I tell them not another dime until WLP is gone. BTW I’m an endowment member and have given life memberships to family members in the past.
Wayne is an anchor on the NRA....and not in a good way.
Wayne just has too much baggage at this point. It’s time for him to move on.

And for the record, it is the MEMBERSHIP that has saved the 2nd Amendment - not his spending like a king.
I quit the NRA and donating to it, if they get rid of LaPierre I will get back on board!!
Nobody is good at politics unless they’re a consummate liar, a POS and a lawyer.
West is a good guy and would make a good public servant which is the opposite of a politician.
He’d be great at the NRA and just about anywhere else.
Wayne used to be great, but he is there for 30! years. He is 72 years old.
I would say, we need some new blood there!

The clinton one is interesting. Used to be you could use it to log into a bunch of websites using “isacrook” as the password with the email. Maybe you still can.

Wayne LaPierre has run the NRA into the ground. When they endorsed Harry Reid in 2010, they lost me.

Funny. That is precisely when they lost me as well. I never could buy into that move.
Their rationale was that Harry Reid subsidized a shooting range in Nevada.
That was a bridge too far for me. Also, they stood down in many states in 2010 that could have used their endorsement. God bless Ted Nugent and Oliver North for exposing the infiltration of the NRA.
I hope Allen West gets in there and cleans house BIGLY! The NRA doesn’t just need a house cleaning, they need a full spectrum enema!
I remember calling NRA-ILA and speaking with some tool who basically told me that I was ignorant of the facts and to go pound sand when I expressed my concerns about that endorsement. I dropped my membership the same day.
Been a member of GOA ever since.
It’s time for LaPierre to go. He has been in that position for far too long.
