Using "sexual orientation" instead of "sexual preference" is woke New York Post.

Maybe that's because you're supposed to discuss art in art class and not your sexual perversions.
Very well deserved firing - outrageous such a discussion would occur with school age children. If I was one of the parents I would also sue her.
Gosh ... How terribly, terribly sad .... Not.
I teach an after-school class for gifted students for our local Catholic diocese. Engineering on Monday, robotics on Wednesday, advanced math on Friday. I would NEVER discuss ANYTHING sexual with students. If one of them asked what my sexual orientation is, I’d say, “None of your business,” even though I’m as straight as a steel ruler.
I always spend the last five minutes of class with a special feature: “Ask Me Anything.” These kids can ask me anything, about anything. Only three subject areas are off limits: sex, politics and religion. This feature of my classes has proven to be VERY popular, despite those three “cordoned off” subjects.
This crude, rude insistence on discussing weird sexuality, which appears to be shared by almost all public school teachers, is something that has to be stopped at the federal level, by appropriate legislation. Unfortunately, it would never survive Biden’s veto, even after we take back both the House and Senate this November. This is going to have to wait until January 2025.
It’s going to be a very long, very bumpy 2-1/2 years .... fasten your safety belts ... severe turbulence ahead.
