I know this will ring hollow for a lot of people on this forum and given that this email flyer doesn’t date the petition so it could be 2008 or 2018, or a different Kathy Barnette for all we know, but there were a lot of people, particularly African Americans, who saw Obama’s election as a civil rights victory on par with the moon landing... even folks on the right who weren’t tuned into his socialist tendencies and radical upbringing (though they should have been, and some just decided to stay ignorant).
There are a number of question marks surrounding Barnette, but this particular smear doesn’t resonate, and apparently coming from another candidate struggling to even get his name mentioned as an also ran seems like desperate reaching.

Robert, I know I’m going to bring the wrath down on my head, but there is free speech after all.
Had her story of her birth been known before the debate. If it was, then I’m wrong.
First of all I see her as someone who would rather be pitied than admired. I feel she is not genuine.
This is coming from someone who supported the wonderful Winsome Sears when she ran for Lt Gov of Virginia and WON.
I was in complete awe of her. I don’t get that same feeling from Barnette.
Winsome always spoke of her successes and optimistic views, and love of America.
I hate to admit it, but in the long run, I think Oz, who has flaws, but I think he is the strongest.
Jock itch has name recognition too, but I wouldn’t vote for it.

Exhibit A: Jim Renacci, in two straight elections in OH couldn’t match his opponents’ name recognition. It is a very powerful tool.
It’s a crap shoot as you point out.
It’s all “feelings,” but with both Vance and Oz, I have a feeling that unlike so many others (Sasshole in NE), they treasure Trump’s endorsement and it seems like they want to live up to it. We’ll see. They could turn out to be Mo Brookses.

Not sure why you say that. Of course there is a right to free speech, and I defend it to the end. May not like what is said, but I cherish the right to free speech.
Knowing nothing about her at all, and only seeing part of her speech at best, I can only venture to guess that Trump had knowledge of her participation in the Obama statue. 🙂
I do know that there are some here who like her, and I agree that Oz, while not a favorite of mine either, probably has the best chance of all to actually win the Senate seat being vacated by Pat Toomey.
For all I know, she could be a lifelong Democrat. Anyone know her voting history? 🙂
Oz will not get out a large portion of GOP voters in November. Kathy is not perfect, nor is Trump or anyone else. I am for Barnette 100%
I never vote for Democrats, but I have stopped voting for Assistant Democrats.
Not another Bush League Republican will get my vote.
