Our sales ladies commute charge is $14
Yep. My first car was '55 Chevy. On the way to High School there was a Shell on one corner and an Atlantic Richfield on the other. Gas wars sent prices down under twenty cents and I could fill 'er up from empty for $5.
Oh, the nostalgia. In those days, I would borrow a sawbuck from my Old Man for a date. One dollar in the tank. One dollar for a drive in movie and two bucks for burgers and shakes afterward.
Class of '66
Too funny, I’m not driving my truck much recently, but I never let it go past 3/4 full before I top off. It just feels so much better to top off for $40 than to fill the whole tank.
I realize that you are posting here about the operation and not the movie, but I wanted to post my intent somewhere.
Amen!

Don’t forget the green stamps!
from Q 4241
Do you attack the KING in the beginning or middle-to-end?
QUEEN protects KING?
Q4281
How about a nice game of chess.
https://thechessworld.com/articles/middle-game/chess-strategy-what-do-you-need-to-know-about-strategy-and-tactics/
Objective [end]: checkmate king
Do you attack the king at the beginning of the game?
Do you attack and remove pawns first?
Do you attack and remove bishops, rooks, knights next?
Do you attack and remove QUEEN mid-to-end?
Is the game being played public or private?
Do emotions affect critical thinking?
Add: important king control pieces [elim rogue elements]?
Add: how do you set the stage [board] re: public opinion [optics]?
“At this time.”
Q
Is Trump the king?
Is Lindsay the queen?
Or are both of these distractions?
Perhaps it depends on what day we are asking. Double (and triple) meanings.
We’ve been writing down the counts in the mornings on the voting machines and the scanners and then again at night so that those machines match the counts coming and going.
```````
Yes, that happens in PA. But does the scanner switch the vote? Supposedly the described testing method (1000 ballots created as I recall) shows this does not happen. But are ballots created by the machines trustworthy???
Don’t forget the green stamps!
Oh Man i forgot that - what about Shell Presidents Coins - I got em all!
and Free Air
You are all making me very nostalgic.
When will Elon perfect his Time Machine?
In the 60s in hs, I worked part time at a Sinclair station in Cleveland. They had sales promotions like a free box of laundry detergent or sometimes free dish towels. Also I remember some kind of off brand soda pop as a giveaway item for a fill-up.
"Old Red", my '96 F150 has dual tanks. I usually keep one full and fill and switch tanks when one hits 1/2. I just topped off the rear tank today. Cost $50.
At the moment, the forward tank has developed a hole and can't be used.
(I know. Who'd have thought? Rust on a 26 year-old pickup on an island in Alaska?)
New tank on order.
Very interesting chart
I think there is an obvious explanation for the below 100% in the 85+ age range. I believe that is because the DS (Cuomo, other governors, others) killed off so many of them in 2020 in order to jack up the death rates and create the pandemic.
They picked off all of the weakest ones over 85 and now the most healthy remain.
I’d be curious if anyone else has ideas on this.
so many good ones lately, but this is top kek.
For years I had a full set of glassware from the Shell station.
I had a buddy who would fill them up with water and weld repair them. But I think you made the better choice.
Think Q is speaking metaphorically about important bad players at the top when talking about the chess pieces. It could be Obama or even Biden.
