Democratic Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams said Friday on MSNBC’s “All In” that she is “converted” with “zeal” to an unequivocal supporter of the right to abortion access.
Abrams said, “I’m unequivocal. I believe in their right to an abortion. And this is something I came to over many years. I grew up in the deep South in a religious community, where the question of abortion was almost unequivocally no. But it took my exposure to a broader set of conversations, including to a friend, dear friend in Mississippi who had to make a tough choice without the support she needed, without support from me, for me to start to think about what does that mean.”

Too bad her mother didn’t exercise her right to an Abortion
Boom. My first thought as well…
From the looks of things Stacey Abrams could keep an abortion clinic busy for a week with all the babies she seems to be carrying. LOL
She would convert to human sacrifice and cannibalism if she thought it would help her to get ahead. Her profound beliefs are poll driven
Who the hell is this person Zeal?
Getting pregnant is the last thing she...
You can’t “convert” to something that you already are!
She’s stuck on stupid.
My sister, a long-time supporter of this, couldn’t come up with a response when I pointed out she should be grateful mom was pro-life.
We should send that message to each and every supporter of abortion.
Abrams should team up with those companies supplying travel funding for a catchy program name. How about "Project Weed be Gone"?
The Sacrament of the Left is Child Sacrifice.
It is not normal for one’s beliefs to evolve from anti-abortion to pro-abortion. It is almost always the other way around. The only people who evolve from pro-life to pro-abortion are ‘rat pols (e.g. Al Gore, et al).
Seems Stacy would kill anybody to further her pol career.
What a surprise!

Planned Parenthood was founded not simply as an organization for limiting the size of families in general but more particularly to reduce the reproduction of the black population in the United States, as Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger herself noted.

If anyone tried to impregnate her the sperm would probably commit suicide.
I think the Roe vs Wade decision is a good compromise. 1st trimester = have abortion if you want, 2nd trimester = must consult with others before deciding to abort, 3rd trimester = can’t have abortion.
However, that “good compromise” shouldn’t be dictated by the Supreme Court or a federal law. The most constitutional way to handle the abortion issue is to let each state make its own abortion policy.
If each state implemented Row vs Wade I think that would be good.

I, and I think many other Freepers, would love to see your logical explanation of why getting an abortion in the first trimester is different than getting one in the third trimester. And who are these “others” you must consult for the 2nd trimester?
