I didn't post the actual comic, in case it's a trademark issue. (I don't think it is, but just to be safe).
Heard from my mother today that still gets the KC Star that they didn't have Dilbert in the paper today and that it would "return soon." A quick look online shows that the left is having a bit of a fit, because the storyline is a black engineer that is identifying as white, throwing a wrench into the company's diversity stats. It started yesterday, but she just saw it today.
Just a little FYI that the censorship is a little bit of everywhere, not that anyone here is surprised.
Soul Boss-Man?
In my career (now retired) I had several promotions that were denied to me and given (in all cases) to hispanic females.
The bosses openly admitted (after a couple of drinks at the local watering hole) that I was far more qualified but they had quotas to meet—and hispanic females checked off two boxes at once.
In a couple of cases I had to visit the location years later to clean up the messes the ladies had created—good thing I had a dark sense of humor.
***You should see it in the electric utility business.***
I worked in Power plants, retired in 2008. We learned real quick that what requirements we were told were needed to move up into management was actually unneeded as NEPOTISM was the way to the top.
Another way was...”Thirty minutes of sucking A$$ was worth ten years of on the job training and two years of college education.”
It may have changed as “Diversity” is the new road to the top.
Scott Adams has a unique way of looking at issues. I suspect he’s on the autistic spectrum. But whatever the reason, his sociopolitical predictions have been more accurate over the years than anyone else I can think of.
It was pretty confusing to see this in my paper (Arkansas Democrat-Gazette). They didn’t color the black guy’s skin. He looked like just another white guy.
If I had a boss stupid enough to tell me something that illegal I'd feel like an idiot for working for her.
On the other hand, if I needed to rationalize my mediocre accomplishments...
Hey GOPJ. It’s good to see this.
The narrative is flipping on the Leftist idiots.
We don’t give guys like Joe Rogan and Adams enough credit. Think of how many people Elon Musk emboldened by acquiring Twitter.
What Musk did gave “permission” for Scott Adams to write this cartoon that tests the PC boundaries of what you can say in a mass-market cartoon.
Years ago my Cuban friend saw he was listed in the records as “Hispanic”. He was furious and went straight to the top to complain. “I’m white” he said, “as white as you!”
They explained to him that they needed to put him down as Hispanic to satisfy their diversity requirements, though they didn’t call it diversity back then. Same exact scenario. He wasn’t happy but there was nothing he could do. Back then not many Hispanics went into engineering. Even now they depend on Venezuelans to fulfill their requirements.
Are you talking about Scott Adams, the multimillionaire - or your day job posting establishment agitprop on FR?
Love it!!
I'm not saying he couldn't find something he was good at, only that I doubt it was banking.
You never quit, do you?
I have a friend this happened to.
I will only say they were in a branch of the military, and they were not allowed to identify as white.
I have known them for decades.
Yeah, I saw that a few places.
Most weekday papers don't do comics in color.
Quitters never win.
You're right on this pundit - lots of good people want to preserve our freedom of speech. We also need to mention Dennis Miller, Mark Steyn, Adam Carolla, Bill Maher and Playwright David Mamet... Men with a lot to lose... putting it all on the line.
They don't do them in black and white, either.
Just white.
Your arms getting tired of beating that dead "It isn't Progressive censorship!" horse yet, semimojo?
At a college fair, the rep for Salvo Regina flat out said white boys get less in scholarship money.
Progressive racism - it's "what's for dinner"!
