A review by NBC News has found 11 articles written by a reporter over the last year that did not meet our standards for original material. The articles contained passages from other news organizations that were used without attribution.
In all cases, the passages were not central to the stories, but instead contained supplemental or background material that did not represent original reporting.
An editor’s note has been placed on each of the articles, and the passages that were plagiarized have been removed.
Maintaining the trust of our readers and viewers is essential to NBC News, and our work must always meet the highest standards of our profession.

Per Fox News: “An NBC News reporter plagiarized parts of 11 different articles during her tenure, the outlet announced Monday, and she is no longer with the outlet.”
It just ain’t right to steal other people’s lies and make them your own.

Had a joker on our City council that was a plagiarist. Each quarter the councilmen get to write a personal article and the city publishes it in our city magazine. The article seemed odd and not how he would write ... so, I just copied a sentence out of it and put it in to Google - BINGO! It popped up an article from American Military News. Sure enough he copied an author’s work word for word and did not give attribution to the author. Scum bucket was a thief and was called out on it.
If no one watches the news, is it still plagiarism?
Cribbing one source is plagiarism. Not good.
Cribbing multiple sources is research. Good.

I’m so glad, and much happier I’ve avoided a lot of news for the past days. Hardly touched on it but a few viists here and often just skimmed over the threads.
The ‘misery’ index and fighting is off the scale everywhere. Including here. Better to sustain real life for now as I see it.
