The US intervened to remove nuclear weapons.
They promised to protect Ukraine because of such massive balance shifting intervention.

Only sports people take sides. I am not a sports person. I don’t think it is a binary choice. We can oppose American involvement without being on the side of Russia. Ukraine is not exactly free from sin. They paid Hunter Biden and his dad millions of dollars most of which they got from us. Joe used some of that money to become President. I am not grateful.
I blame George W Bush for this. 20 years of BS wars, 100s of billions spent, maybe trillion plus, 1000s of lives lost - 10s of thousands including civilians and absolutely ZERO to show for it except enriched war profiteers and political donors and you can see why so many people are turned off from military engagement even when there may be some justification.
Watched him tonight on his Sunday show. Called us part of the Putin wing of the Republican party. He came across just like one of those characters in the movies Dr. Strangelove and Failsafe. He’s nuts. He’d expose this great country to nuclear destruction. The bomb is for Real.

That is overwhelmingly obvious and Levin’s point is brutally accurate.
It’s time to stop cheering for world war 3 and helping Russia.
