I'd guess by the time the midterms roll around, the Democrats will have most everyone wanting to stand them up to a political firing squad.

Well, Dems have done better overall in gerrymandering House districts than Repubs this time around. I think Repubs gain 35 House seats, would probably be 45+ without Dems success in gerrymandering.
In the Senate, everyone always wildly overestimates potential Republican gains. I’ll be happy with Repubs gaining 1 Senate seat, a gain of 2 is the max I’d anticipate. GOP will have to pick up a Senate seat in GA and hold onto PA and MO to make bigger gains.

I agree this is by far the most likely outcome. I wonder if we’ll see some musical chairs if the Senate stays 50-50:
1. Manchin, up for re-election in 2024, realizes he has zero chance unless he switches parties, so he does.
2. Rather than let Republicans have control, one of more of Romney, Collins or Murkowski officially become Democrats or “Independents” who caucus and vote with Democrats; the label is nothing more than a semantic difference.
Romney is up in 2024 too and would lose in Utah as a Democrat (perhaps not as an Independent though). If Murkowski wins, she’d be #1 on the list to go Indy or Rat. Collins is in her final term and isn’t up until 2026, so she could flip too.
The above scenario could easily happen even if Republicans somehow come out ahead 51-49. We should never assume that another “Judas Jim Jeffords” situation can’t happen again.

And seats on State Supreme Courts. Dems have been pouring money into winning seats on State Supreme Courts the past few years (in those states where elections decide the Supreme Ct.). You can see the result in states like NC where the state legislature is Repub. but the Supreme Ct. is Democratic.
They have a plan. Count on it.

Desperate times call for desperate measures and this election scares the hell out of democrats.
They cheated in 2020 when they didn’t have control of the Senate yet nor the Oval office (and thus the DOJ, to some degree). Do you really think with the Hunter laptop from hell starting to come to a head, and the fear of Senate hearings on Biden, 2020, Jan6, and all the Russian hoax crap, wont scare them into wanting to KEEP the Senate? Not to mention the fact that they will feel confident they can use the DOJ (still in their pocket after 2022 no matter how the elections go) to squelch any investigations from having teeth!
No, they absolutely will do whatever it takes. Consequences or not.

When an administration, like Biden's, continually TAKES MONEY directly out of the pockets of the "working public" those Americans will HATE you, and you will NOT be re-elected.

they are recruiting. They own the local paper and are recruiting heavily for the polls.
Remember that in 2020, Democrats launched a cheating effort that rivals the invasion of a foreign country, across a huge spectrum of their supporters, numbering in the thousands, and backed by low level Democrat elected officials, foreign interests, complicit Republicans, and several billionaires willing to fund it.
While a large number of their “cheats” have been found and corrected, in 2022 and 2024, it will take an even larger number of honest people to block their doing it again.
Rotten Republican state parties and corrupt officials of both parties, absentee ballot blanks produced in China, vote harvesting, befouled voter registrations, Internet connected voting machines, the list goes on and on.
Republicans cannot leave places where votes are tallied until *everyone* leaves, and will have to put such places under surveillance to insure that nobody comes back when the Republicans have left. ALL package deliveries will have to be inspected to insure they don’t have bundled ballots within.
And there will have to be Republican LEOs willing to immediately *arrest* anyone attempting to corrupt the vote.
Republicans can no longer just “win” a vote. They must *earn* a win through hard work and an unwillingness to let the Democrats cheat and steal a win.
Except you have whole states where the Democrats are only in power because they cheated there as well
