Hotdog!
2nd that!
I believe that’s better known as the “Ted & Chris.”
“Hotdog!”
Not going to disagree. Bread, meat, condiments. Fits a sandwich for me.
There certainly is no accounting for taste.
My Mom used to make fried bologna sandwiches with toasted rye bread and mustard. Had to be thick slices of bologna so it wouldn't bubble up. Delicious!
Dill or sweet pickle?
Also lobster roll for me, then cheese steak, then Egg Salad with nothing else on it like lettuce. Oh wait, forgot about leftover turkey breast on white bread with mayo and salt.
Turkey club
grilled cheese w/tomato
bologna cheese/mstrd/mayo/toasted
I like a good chopped steak burger
Fish & chips (Not a sandwich)
Fried turkey spam, ¼ inch and fried hard
And for the girls up at the Ptarmagin club grillroom on Adak, I would walk in, swap howdys they’d ask “same?” “Yep” they would have my tuna on toasted wheat with a slice of cheese and pickle ready & wrapped & bagged by the time I finished my coffee.
Fired Bolgna, #1 in Kansas. These are the favs by state: https://247wallst.com/special-report/2021/04/18/the-best-breakfast-sandwich-in-every-state-everyone-should-try/5/
A geographical variant................
I always have a problem finding a suitable drink to go along with sandwiches. I usually end up settling for a glass of cold milk. Milk and chips don’t pair well.
Is cheeseburger not a sandwich or did they exclude it
The ones in my rotation by preference:
Bahn Mi
Cheesesteak
Gyro
Meatball
Cuban
Reuben
BLT
Chopped BBQ (none of the pulled stuff, please)
Pattymelt
And not on the list but high in preference, Sliced Smoked Brisket.
Grew up in Chicago, Italian Beef is number 1 for me.
I love Viet food. It’s Asian with a French twist.
Where in the heck is Pastrami on rye with spicy mustard?
But as a young lad...I LOVED two all beef hot dogs, split down the middle and placed on white bread with Hellman's mayo and Velveeta cheese.
Accompanied by a bowl/mug of Campbell's Tomato soup.
My tastes have matured since then.
Italian beef is 36?
Loves me some bahn mi.
