Back in the 90s we used to drive to from So Cal to the Goodwill/SA in Phoenix because the snowbirds would pass away and leave unbelievable vintage clothes. Untouched 30-40 year old Levis, brand spanking new Nikes from the 70s, tailored suit jackets and wacky neckties.
We’d buy the stuff for a couple of bucks each and then resell them at vintage stores in So Cal for $10-40.

Women were so feminine then. I think women’s fashion in the 40’s was the best. I feel like I was born into the wrong generation. I guess I’m a transgenerational man.🙄
Refrigerators were around, indoor plumbing had been around even longer and yes, there were.
Watch agatha christie’s Hercule Poirot for the most beautiful vintage fashion ever! A delight for the eye. Heck in the 80s and 90s we had beautiful hand made suits.

When my dad died we found a picture of my grandparents from the roaring ‘20’s. She was wearing some sort of mink thing called a Stoll or something like that.
He had a very natty suit on.
My dad still had the mink which I now have.
I’m all for it. I love that era (although I would look, and do look, laughable in dresses — not to say I don’t dress well. I do not have what you’d call a feminine shape.)
Way back when I lived in London, I used to go to the Imperial War Museum — and they had an amazing display on 40s fashions. The Dior New look was so beautiful.
I am all for a return to nicer clothing. Men used to wear suits — I love that.
