My last HIO came following a rain delay after 9 holes. Our group decided when the rain passed that we’d play 10, 11, 17 and 18 and then go out for dinner instead of playing the whole back 9. I hit my tee shot on 11 and knew I’d hit it well. I yelled at that ball the entire time to stay out of the hole. When it went in, I actually cussed a bit because I was wet from the rain and didn’t want to finish the round, but we stayed out there instead of going out for dinner. The course was very wet and full of puddles and we were all like muddy children by the time we finished.
If you don’t finish the stipulated round, as CDY pointed out, it doesn’t count and people don’t get their free drink. Stylin19a is also right that the stipulated round is determined in advance by the Committee running an event and can be shorter than the usual 18 holes. At our club, your group signs and dates the hole flag, the Pro Shop puts it in a nice frame and they give it to you.
That low handicapper I play with has hit the inside of the hole on the fly twice and the ball bounced out and rolled many feet away each time. Every summer I hope he gets his first.

There are lots of photos of dead nazis at the Intel Slava telegram site today. I imagine that the point of posting these photos is to encourage surrender and prevent more foreign mercenaries from joining the Ukrainian cause.
