The Russian Army can not go very far on flat tires

video of Russian trucks running on flat tires. https://twitter.com/TrentTelenko/status/1505370317228843008

Telenko concludes that the lack of professional maintenance and wear, unprofessional use by undertrained troops and soldier exhaustion has already and will continue to cause high levels of “operational attrition” in their truck fleets. The “details” that are being ignored will lead to massive issues. He predicts in six to eight weeks, the entire Russian Army military truck fleet will be “deadlined.” “Between the end of April and Mid-May 2022, the Ukrainian Army will be able to counter-attack EVERYWHERE. Because there will be NOWHERE more than 20 miles/30 km inside Ukraine where Russian troops won’t be out of food and low on ammunition.”

In February, U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Mark Milley told lawmakers a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine could take Kyiv in 72 hours. Nearly four weeks after the Russian invasion began Feb. 24, the Russian military has managed to reduce some cities to rubble and resorted to indiscriminate bombing and brutal tactics, yet the Ukrainian people are still standing.

They weren’t surrounded in April, 1941. The invasion came in June. They had infinite room to the east, that eventually saved them.

Why did our so called Intelligence Community NOT know/predict this lack of capability of the Russian Army. My thought is our spy agencies are too busy spying on American deplorables.

Our "intelligence" community is garbage and it has always been garbage.

These agencies are outfitted with Ivy league "geniuses" running their operations and they are utterly liberal.

They never get anything right. They have been most notable for being completely unable to ever anticipate events or do anything else useful.

They are idiots and their list of failures is astonishing. What is even more astonishing is why we keep this collection of fools employed.

The last time they did anything right was under Eisenhower, and now i'm beginning to think those successes were accidents.

In all honesty, if Russian forces had used normal Soviet doctrine for bombardment and destruction of airfields and military strongpoints, they could have. They assumed most of the Ukrainians would welcome them in and they could get to Kiev fast.

I also think that we are seeing the obsolescence of tanks. Modern anti-tank weapons are just too effective. Sure, there's always been Panzerfausts and Bazookas but they weren't nearly as destructive as a modern FGM-148 Javelin, soon to be littered all over the grounds of Ukraine and finding their way into the hands of God only knows. This weapon is a game-changer.

When the ground dries out the Russians will be able to move cross country, and use all those Ukrainian dirt roads. I don’t know about their trucks, but if they try hard they should be able to round up enough civilian replacements that will run on decent roads at least. Whether their organizational abilities are up to that who knows.

But the problems with supply will remain, if the Russians don’t also come up with the manpower to provide security to their logistics and rear areas. With the manpower they have committed this is impossible. They can’t hold impermeable lines. The length of frontage they have created in Ukraine is enormous.

Or they could “freeze”, or abandon, major axes of operations and go on the defensive there, and they may be doing that on the Kiev front, with the defensive works and flooding they have carried out, to concentrate both logistics and manpower.

They need to source, buy and distribute tires.
That is an organizational problem. So far they haven’t been so good at that. Maybe they will get more efficient at it. Who knows.

What do you think the Russians are using for tires?

There was thread back at the start that named the brand - a tire expert said the name and that they were the cheapest of the cheap Chinese brands. The Chinese made a ‘killing’.

The Russian oligarchs and the oil-Arabs are the top of the heap in capital flight operations. Something close to half of Russian assets are held abroad.

This is why Russia has suffered from a lack of investment. They have lots of native investment capital but have depended on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). I guess the foreigners have been fools, the oligarchs have known better.

Why did our so called Intelligence Community NOT know/predict this lack of capability of the Russian Army.

Because Putin is a consummate propagandist. His career and life depend on projecting an image of strength and concealing weakness.

Just pointing out that the Ukes in the East are likely going to be surrounded in the next couple of weeks.

i looked very carefully at many of the details of the russian equipment shown in the videos ... one of the things i noticed was that the door seals were cracked and desiccated, so one could see that this russian equipment was ancient junk that had probably been sitting around for decades without maintenance ...

The Russians aren’t interested in taking cities. They are interested in destroying military.

Yeah, The Duran has got a 2-hour discussion on precisely this topic.

I'm listening right now:

'The destruction of armies rather than the capture of cities"

The Duran (channel):

Surprised Youtube isn't scrubbing this stuff.

I listen on Rumble. They had some intersting conversation on Biden and Hunter today.

It beats reading some of the MSM hyperBS jabber around here.

In February, U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Mark Milley told lawmakers a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine could take Kyiv in 72 hours.

Last August he said the Taliban would not take Kabul for a year. Why does this asshat still have a job? Because he is a died in the wool Democrat who hates Donald Trump! That has to be the reason because it cannot be his military competence.

While I believe Telenko is correct about everything he says regarding the Russian army sadly I suspect it is just as true of the Ukrainian Army. With high levels of political corruption and a whole series of revolutions in Ukraine it is doubtful the military budget has not been skimmed in exactly the same way as the Russian military budget with the same resulting lack of maintenance.

If Putin’s goal is to destroy the Ukrainian military he knows where to find, and is wasting a lot of bombs and ammo on apartment buildings and TV towers. Maybe he should get on with the fight. Instead his forces are hunkered down in a good old fashioned siege.

There is plenty of pro Ukrainian propaganda out in the MSM and sadly way too many Russian trolls and wannabe trolls on Free Republic. Maybe not as bad as Zero Hedge but pretty bad.

Imagine all the existing US-Russian military comparison vids, etc. and their validity when put in the perspective of what the Ukrainians are doing against this ‘vaunted’ Russian military. LMAO.

Imagine you were a Soviet Army junior officer in January 1991, just before the start of Desert Storm. The Party is saying "watch the fun". The Iraqi Army has top of the line Soviet equipment. They are trained in Soviet tactics. You expect them to bloody the Americans.

Desert Storm happens, and the Americans go through the Iraqi Army like wet toilet paper. Ridiculously lopsided casualty ratio. You sit there and realize what would have happened in any sort of conventional war in Europe.

The USSR collapsed within months.

Your post is generic like many around here. You get your news from the MSM.

You really need to do some digging. In am sick of being called a troll. I suppose you are a Biden troll or a democrat RINO troll. Maybe you troll for Adam Kinzinger or Nanzi Pelosi. You sound like her. Lets just clear everyone who disagrees with you off FR. Wow wouldn’t that be interesting. See, you sound like a Big Tech censorship fellow. Too many people on this site sound that way and they need to be gone in my opinion. Just shut this place down unless everyone agrees with my opinion. I care so much about this place I want to throw off everyone who is a troll but me.
Everyone is a damn troll now.
It is hard to find anyone who isn’t trolling.

Is there anyone who can come up with some refreshing new insults to accuse others of something terrible for not agreeing with me?
