VANITY I am a long time lurker and occasional poster. I consider Free Republic to be one of the most informative sites available, but I find myself confused with the direction of commentary regarding Russia and the Ukriane. The media, the democrats, George Soros,the UN, the World economic forum. ALL either have LIED to us continually for the last four years or are actively involved in planning the destruction of our nation. At the Risk of being called a putinista or putard I have to ask the question. Why do we accept as fact the narrative that we are being fed by the msm? You cannot use those sources. But you also can use a history of behavior (in the case of Putin) to know he's a communist thug. You never want to be on the side of the advancement of communism.

That doesn't mean Ukraine is the right side either, but common sense tells you that supporting communism is wrong.

I have a theory. Quick overview. Globull warming is the most important threat to the elites, democrats, a lot of Republicans and big tech. There are 9 billion on the planet. The Chinese virus did not do the job it intended to do. The clutching of pearls, the lockdowns, and vaccines were a test to see who would comply and who would not. Now we know Ukraine is the literal breadbasket of the eastern world and people are trying to tell us there will be a massive famine killing millions. We will be able to buy food but the prices will be outrageous and some will not be able to afford it. This is a major cleansing of humans and no one will be held responsible. It’ll be the fault of globull warming and war.

You know that and I believe many if not most Americans believe that - so the question begs to be asked, "Why doesn't our government know this and act like it knows this?"

I believe the answer is that the ruling class has sold out to China, i.e., traitors are running the government and nation.

I find myself turning more inward than ever before. Now I go out of my way to avoid political discussions, even with family members. My 20 YO son is a firebrand, and speaks his mind often, and at high volume. He loves Trump, giving him a pass on everything...WTH, it's his right.

I voted for Trump, if only as a vote against Biden...that was an easy call. Trump's positives outweigh his negatives, which have been discussed ad nauseum for over 5 years.

I'm much more comfortable with keeping my own counsel. I'll be 68 in two months, had a great education, and a fair amount of military and business experience. It all gives me great pause to hear the drums beating for a NATO "no fly zone", a path that will assuredly broaden the current conflict.

Why would anyone trust Putin, a former KGB operative? If he can be trusted, why not put Peter Strozk in charge of the FBI? We're talking about the same dude. Actually, I'm nearly as concerned over the REMFs in high level positions throughout our government. Does the name Cuffy Meigs ring a bell with you. If it doesn't, then you need to pull out your copy of Atlas Shrugged to refresh your memory. Anthony Fauci might as well be named Dr. Robert Stadler, as well, only Fauci has been much more dangerous than that fictional physicist.

The conflict in Ukraine remains localized, let's keep it that way.

Despite my personal experiences with Covid, I generally keep them to myself. I have not been vaxxed, nor will I. Two months ago, my second case was treated with HCQ and IVM. I was back at work several days later, albeit still physically weak. Attitudes have hardened to stone with those who "sided with science." Yeah, these are the descendants of those who condemned Galileo for publishing his science.
